This is the tallest pyramidal building in europe and it is aged about 10.000 b.c.
Several hundred of years were needed to built this pyramid and thousand of slaves were used.
It has no doors nor apertures. Its use is still unknown. Archeologists say that probably this building was used by ancient priests to study extra-terrestrial life.
How did ancients build this pyramid? This question has long been debated, but many think that the heavy stones were carried from far regions by the same teleporting system used to go inside and out of the building.
Many questions are still without an answer and a lot of studying is still needed.

This is the third of the great pyramids, the Pyramid of Menkaure, Menkaure being Khafre's successor. It is now known why his pyramid is smaller than the others, the theories being that it was either because (1) he wasn't as important a pharoah as his predecessors had been, or (2) that they (the aliens) had simply tired of building big pyramids. The hole in the righthand face is there because in the 12th century, an enterprising cairo Sultan decided to undertake a treasure hunt. This hole took him eight months to excavate and didn't find anything!
Cimitero acattolico di Roma, or the Protestant Cemetery in Rome -
Pyramid of Cestius.
The pyramid is a funerary monument built about 12 BC as a tomb for Caius Cestius
This and "Fenced Cemetary" are a couple of shots from my first foray into infrared photography. I converted my old Olympus 3040Z by using unexposed slide film as a filter. The images come out pretty noisy. I used the Healing tool in photoshop to get rid of some of the noise. Also the focus is not very sharp. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

The pyramid will be destroyed within the next 2 years. Government officals have decided to build the new parliament on its ground regardless of citizen protests and will to preserve the monument.
The Louvre Pyramid (Pyramide du Louvre), designed by I.M. Pei, is a large glass and metal pyramid, surrounded by three smaller pyramids, in the main courtyard (Cour Napoléon) of the Louvre Palace (Palais du Louvre) in Paris. The large pyramid serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum.

The Pyramid of Djoser (Zoser), or step pyramid (kbhw-ntrw in Egyptian) is an archeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt, northwest of the city of Memphis. It was built for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier Imhotep, during the 27th century BC. It is the central feature of a vast mortuary complex in an enormous courtyard surrounded by ceremonial structures and decoration.
This first Egyptian pyramid consisted of six mastabas (of decreasing size) built atop one another in what were clearly revisions and developments of the original plan. The pyramid originally stood 62 meters tall, and having a base of 109 x 125 m and was clad in polished white limestone.[1] The step pyramid (or proto-pyramid) is considered to be the earliest large-scale stone construction, although the nearby enclosure known as Gisr el-mudir would seem to predate the complex.
The Giza Pyramids, Giza, Egypt.
(from left to right) The pyramid of King Cheops, Kefren, Menkaure.
The giza pyramids consist of 9 pyramids altogether, but only 6 remain today.
In ancient times, the pyramids were covered with white limestone on the outside and thus appear smooth, as opposed to the rocky appearance we see today. Some of the original limestone still can be seen at the top of the pyramid on the right.
The largest pyramid (which is the pyramid that is hailed as one of the 7 wonders of the world) belongs to King Cheops.
The second pyramid belongs to King Cheops' son, Kefren. Interestingly, King Kefren's pyramid appears as the largest pyramid among the 3 pyramids, eventhough it's not. The reason behind it is that King Kefren wanted to build a pyramid that is bigger than his father's, but it was against the law at the time. So, he strategically built his pyramid on higher grounds, and thus, would appear larger than his father's tomb. In front of his pyramid is the infamous Sphinx, to guard his eternal resting grounds.
The third pyramid belongs to King Kefren's son, Menkaure. There're 3 smaller pyramids beside Menkaure's pyramid, which is for his mother, his favorite wife, and his child, each.
