Pycnonotus jocosus
Another very common bird, almost guarantee to see one if you take a walk to any city parks. They adapt city life pretty well, and were not afraid to get closer to you.
Sketch by Roots & Shoots members of Mbeya Town for field guide "Birds of Mbeya." Species sighted in Mbeya, Tanzania.
The red-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is resident breeder across the Indian subcontinent,
including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Tibet. This photo was captured in Thane region of Maharashtra.
