Viewed from aboard an eastbound Rhätische Bahn station at the Domat/Ems station, departure signal B1 displays a green Fahrt (Proceed) indication along with the diagonal white/green Abfahrbefehl (authority to depart) indication.
The departure authority is displayed after the train's conductor presses a pushbutton in a box on the station platform.

ABSTRACT
Made in Italy is an aggregative concept that hardly can be described in few words. At the same time, it contains aesthetics qualities, historical heritages and intrinsical characteristics that don’t seem to follow a single rational principle. In fact, Made in Italy merges together common perceptions, stereotypes, achievements, styles and opinions that often are more related to self cultural background instead of one defined subject.
As a consequence, the Made in Italy concept belongs to the collective imagery sphere. It consists in an abstract representation concerning a multitude and its idea about a country and its reputation in terms of production, past glories, national skills and characteristics. Being abstract, such this concept can be ideally explained in an emotional way. Images, sounds, flavours and smells are the elements that can converge in order to represent it.
Therefore, Made in Italy can be represented using the rethoric figure of the synecdoche which consists in using a term denoting a part of somethingto refer to the whole thing.
Dinamo|complesso plastico looks at Made in Italy from this point of view and delivers a representation of the concept complexity by offering an overview on its most recognizable elements. Being the author Italian, the project aims at proposing a personal interpretation of Made in Italy by redesigning a famous Futurist installation and improving its interactive qualities in order to both establish human-to-machine relations and human-to-human ones.

I dag out this gun I made long time ago. It is almost all made of woods. The caliber is 9mm Parabellum which is ignitiated electricaly. Preparation for shooting only one bullet is very long, but it can shoot. : ) There is a place for two 1.5 V batteries under she shooting pipe. Trigger is pushbutton and it also have safety lock switch.

Here you'll notice that the colours behind the pushbutton heads have been reversed (what was blue is now green, and what were green are now blue!)
triggerlinc is a magnetic contact switch from smartlabs. meant to be mounted to a door or window. When the magnet is separated from the transmitter (door opens) it sends an On command to any linked Insteon device (lamp, wall switch, etc). When the door is closed (magnet returns to place), the transmitter sends Off signal. Inside the unit is a single hardwired contact trigger. There are two programming modes set by a jumper switch. Mode A is what i described above (On when open, Off when closed). Mode B is "Multi-scene mode" which can control two distinct scenes. I wanted a simple one-button trigger to turn off all the lights in the house (except for my bedroom and porch lights). I drilled a hole in the face and installed a momentary pushbutton and set triggerlinc to multi-scene mode and programmed the lights to turn off. The second scene i left unprogrammed so it would only turn lights off when pushed. The ceiling fan lights were programmed to turn off at a slow ramp rate so i can head to the bedroom as the lights fade out completely.

To make the shutter release work (which is the ONLY button on the Meike grip that will control the a55) I had to add wires directly to the shutter switch. The switch is a 4 pin pushbutton. I forgot to take pics while I had it all apart, but from this angle, the white is ground (both pins on the left side), the brown (right front) is focus and red is shutter release. I wired these to a 3/32" plug which I installed in the side of the Meike grip. This allows me to use the plug that came with the Ownuser grip until I have the chance to make a shorter one.

This type of light switch was widely manufactured from the initial advent of light switches (late 1800s) to the 1920s. After that the modern flip type of switch became more common. (You can still buy "reproduction" push-button switches, though, in case you are decorating your house in a vintage style.)
I had lived in this place for several months before I realized that this was a light switch -- I initially thought it was a remnant of an old intercom system, where you press one button to transmit and another to receive. (there are such things that look similar) The mystery was solved one day when I actually pressed the button, and the light turned on. Oh.

Only 1 die, actually. It "rolls" the die when you shake it. It can roll any of the usual RPG dice, from 4-sided to 20-sided and percentage. The pushbutton selects which type of die to roll. The case is salvaged - it came with a set of earbuds. Inspired by tronixstuff.
