This grungy phone has lived in my garage since 1983, perhaps I should take the time to clean it up. Then again, it's almost never used although it does still work.

It has been suggested to take Milky Way shots you should time it so there is no moon and it should be night proper. This shot has the moon and is taken early in Astronomical Twilight, so the glow on the horizon is from the Sun, and with the moonlight this makes the sky blue. The Cape Fear River at Southport is a busy stretch of water. I enjoy sitting on the back porch at the Riverside Motel and watching it all go by. Here is a pair of tugboats working together to get some sort of vessel upstream.

Second hand clothes shop, Stoke Newington High Street. The building used to house a Halfords store, which presumably explains the use of number plates for the door signs.

Lens EXIF data not recorded correctly. The lens was a 7Artisans 35mm f/0.95. Aperture used unknown.

Marat Gizatulin provided us with these amazing pictures he took during its visit to SCAC assembly line in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

"Last week, during the visit to the final assembly line at SCAC Company in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, I had the possibility to take some shots of the third Superjet owned by Aeroflot. It is the fifth prototype aircraft.

According to Aeroflot tradition, the aircraft are named after famous Russian personalities, as poets, travelers, composers and engineers, but also writers and scientists.

Aeroflot pay tribute to people who gave great input to the development of Russian aviation.

This new SSJ100 has been named after Ivan Orlovets – a famous Aeroflot pilot, who was one of those people who tested the first jet aircraft. Ivan Orlovets was the first pilot to fly to New York with a Tu-104.

It is really great that the airline company wants to remember those people, it keeps their memory alive.

We witnessed the delivery of the aircraft, strating from the arms of the manufacturer to the arms of the airline"

This is what our friend Marat Gizatulin said about the visit.

¡Vete tú a saber porqué!
