The pilot boat coming back to the harbour in Hanko, Finland. Only ice slush so far on this spot.

The idea here was to make a body chalk-outline (you know, out of cop shows) using daisies. Whilst looking for a bit of lawn for it I found the graveyard and at the risk of belabouring an already obvious concept decided to set it there.

Created by making a picture tube in Paint Shop from daisies photographed in the garden. And then using that to draw the body outline. Simple really! :O)

A push-pull set with the DBSO leading being pulled rather than pushed. This will be as the loco is not a 47/7 but 47570.

LikelyIt should be an Aberdeen - Glasgow service, seen in Perth station, thought to be in June 1988.

I can't push pixels, but I can push slide film to get that lovely different look. Slide Film with no processing straight out of camera. Sad to see Fuji not making a 400asa chrome anymore, but one coming new from Ferrania Yeepee!!!

just forcibly moved us away from the bank, saying it was for our safety & "the glass might break". Then they hit us w/ batons #OccupySF

People & press had been safely observing from outside the windows for hrs; the police were moving us away b/c they're abt to clear the tent.

Let me be clear: the police's stated reason for moving us was bullshit, delivered in a tone of knowing, dismissive hypocrisy.

Relative to other, far ++egregious police transgressions, this was a triviality. But it was needless & disappointing nonetheless.

Home, and w/the fear & adrenalin receding, I've begun to notice that my passive resistance tonight earned me a few bruised ribs. So strange.

b: Though I was forcibly moved, I don't claim to have sustained injuries. Innocent people @ #OccupyCal #OWS #oo have experienced FAR worse.

Rather, I mention my pain as one further experiential aspect of a situation that grows increasingly surreal & personal w/ each passing day.

As in: "My, how odd it is to notice that my body hurts… in places where agents of the State needlessly applied coercive force to move me."

But! Thank you for all your support regardless. In the immortal words of Archibald "Harry" Tuttle: "We're all in this together!" #OWS

VAZIANI, Georgia - Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles move forward, May 17, during Exercise Noble Partner 15 as part of a force on force training scenario. The scenario consisted of U.S. and Georgian soldiers working together to first secure an airfield before pushing forward into the mock village about a kilometer away. Improvised explosive devices and enemy ground forces were some of the obstacles the partnering units had to overcome before successfully seizing the village objective. (Photo by Sgt. There was I minding my own business taking shots in Boxgrove Priory graveyard, when I spotted out of the corner of mine eye, what seemed a field covered in snow, and look what it were. I met a local walking his dog, and asked how this came about, he said this field had laid fallow for some years, but last year in the fall, the farmer had ploughed it , and for the last 5 weeks this show had appeared. Apparently no seeds had been sown, and is all a mystery as to why, but is it not lovely?.
