A DPU brings up the rear of the coal loads curving out of Logan. The pushing horsepower will come in handy when the 2nd Sub diverges from the Missouri River and climbs Winston Hill. Of course it won't be sufficient leaving Helena where the trademark blue helpers will be added. Crossing Mullan Pass in the dark I suspect.

In the original image the whole aircraft was visible along with the Control Tower but back in the days of film this was the first on the reel and suffered by having the emulsion way 'over exposed' to a lovely orange colour all across that section of the slide - hence the crop!

Had Travus on a surfboard and surfing since he was 2. Every time we went to the beach (which was *often*, as I live to surf and snowboard), I had him on the front of my board surfing with me, and when he was old enough to swim and walk on his own (around 2), started pushing him into waves. He started surfing unassisted from about 4 (paddling into waves without my assistance and standing up). He's a pretty good surfer, but...
...now when I ask him if he wants to go to the beach and surf his response is: "...uh...No." Granted don't-wanna-be-in-the-water on the weekends is largely a function of him being in the pool 4x a week for Water Polo. However I can see where he has had enough of me pushing him into the activity over the years and would rather do something else.
I took a totally different tact with Austin, as I could see how Travus was getting burnt out with me pushing him into surfing. With Austin I did *zero*...almost less-than-zero as I withheld surfing from him until he was a certain age (6 y/o). He is now always *begging* me to take him to the beach to surf, as he can't get enough of it. Just goes to show: If you want your kids to genuinely enjoy something, don't push them...
Non-HDR shot of Austin surfing on a wave that he paddled into himself at Blackies surf break in Newport, California.
"Fear of the past and relative pain
Future's comin' fast, you've got nothin' in the tank
In a season of purging things you used to love
Everything must go
Make an oath, then make mistakes
Start a streak you're bound to break
When darkness rolls on you
Push on through..."
