With more exhaust than the Duchess, the 47 provides assistance and the 'Christmas White Rose' gets moving from what must have been a signal check, Retford, 17.12.15.
I started out my second and final morning in Altoona on the 8th Street bridge. It being early in the morning, I was obviously waiting for an eastbound I could race up to McFarlane's Curve, but 35A was first, pushing out westbound while I waited for one going east.
With the demise of a certain store, Kmart has been really pushing toys this year.

In my normal life I'm very much a shy, reserved individual, I use my dressing to push boundaries a little. I have been in changing rooms before dressed, with a chaperone as part of a makeover day. This is the first time I did it myself.
On hand to provide traction assistance, WCRC 47746 'Chris Fudge' helps push LMS 45699 'Galatea' along the up slow line towards Balshaw Lane Station on 13/09/18. The loco tailed the 1Z40/0553 Dumfries to Shrewsbury 'The Salopian Express 2', which was led by 37516 until it handed over to the Jubilee at Carnforth. Both front and rear locos made an impressive sound as they got the signal!...
