Some folks in charge of the Micropolis Water Authority decided that was a bit of a mouthful, so they engaged a PR firm to come up with a better name. Thus, Purify was born, and this building is the Purify HQ which sits in the heart of Downtown. Its distinctive architecture reflects how waste water is treated and recycled to be used again. Dead right! Well, half right anyway... sunlight to matter and ashes to pure carbon, dust to dust. Gracie is gone. This title idea hit me as curious. This is just a stone cold composition of a stone I caught in of my eye while shooting the tomb I posted earlier.
Once again but this new year, I was trying to capture tombstones in this shot than previously. The title idea was obviousbut the shot with tombstones didn't come together. This is just a composition of color and contrasts.
This is another shot that captures and controls a radical range of light, just what I like. Two layers DO NOT flatten a scene when both layers contain overly long ranges. I now need to look for new possible locations because autumn is creeping away this year. I wander here periodically and take detail shots that are available at the time. I love shooting heavy range scenes with this camera and lens so I maximized the shadow detail while preserving all but the spectral highlights

The king is led forward in a litter, supported by the Souls of Pe and Nekhen. The Iunmutef (Iwn-mwt.f ) priest goes before them and is turned to purify the procession with a censer. In front of the procession, eight gods are depicted upon their standards.

Varanasi is considered to be a holy city by Buddhists and Jains, and is viewed as the holiest place in the world by Hindus who believe that it was founded by the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva, around 5,000 years ago. It is believed to be one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world. Although the Ganges is extremely polluted, people believe that it will physically and spiritually cleanse them. Laundry and bathing can be seen continally along the Ganges at Varanasi.

Honen-in Temple lies on the hillside on the northeastern edge of Kyoto.
These sand mounds are said to purify one’s body and soul. Usually temples and shrines have a basin to wash hands at the entrance, but this temple has sand mounds instead. Every three or four days a monk draws a new pattern on the mounds in the early morning.
