A bonfire + camera rotation = wow. It was hard to pick just one shot to post for the day, but here's the one that came out on top.

Day 146-365.

This is my next generation of a Spacemarine Power Armor frame with somewhat enhanced articulation, doesn't have a lot in common with my previous attempt, yet it has the same proportions. Mixels joints rule!

Sorry, don't expect many updates from me these days :(

I was at Senso-Ji Buddhist temple, Tokyo's oldest. Here, some pilgrims are purifying themselves here by wafting smoke over themselves. Thanks to SatoChappy for the explanation.

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.

Gokak lies off the beaten track in the vast innards of North Karnataka. The closest town of any eminence is Belgaum and not many people know about that place either.

Gokak's claim to fame is the very old textile mill that used to be located there. It went by the name of Gokak Textiles and is currently owned by the Shapoorji Pallonji business house which is known by its signature Eureka Forbes water purifiers. Every house in India has one, at least, the urban middle class home. While the water purifiers are ubiquitous and work well, the products of the textile mill are downright bad. You can buy a cotton towel from their mill counter and God be your saviour in your post bathing nakedness if you think it can wipe or soak any water.

Gokak however has this muddy torrential river Ghataprabha that is at its brownest in the monsoons. A waterfall of about 165 feet converts the cascading and roaring water into a fine mist and spray that is pure white and can be felt even as far away as a 1/4 mile from where this was shot. The red sandstone cliffs flank the river side and this has been toned down a tad in processing

The purifying water of the Castalian (Kastalian) spring (Κασταλία πηγὴ) gushed from the slopes of the Phaedriada (aka Hyampeia in antiquity).

The stone fountain of the same name (Κασταλία κρήνη) was built along the side of the road leading to the temple of Apollo in 6th century BC. It supplied the —then sacred— oracle with water for purification.

During the modern era the fountain was rebuilt in 1959 by the architect Anastassios Orlandos and was restored in 1977 by the French Archaeological School at Athens.

Shot in 'cold' CA filter built into my 60D. That has to be my absolute favorite one......it just makes every picture look a tad more mystic and mysterious. Especially when it's just before or a bit after sunset hours.

My mocs are becoming more and more structurally ambitious. I had to redesign this thing a handful of times because it kept collapsing and falling over.

The young monks have to burn juniper branches to purify the air. They do it twice a day, in what looks like a small oven built of stone. This was just as the sun was coming up

“Purify” . Nothing beats the joy of sharing a new drawing! Here’s my finished drawing of the apples and water done with colored pencils. This drawing is referenced the photo that I purchased from stock photos.. I love the fact that the red apple is not in a perfect shape, that’s where the perfection is created. I consider this is my favorite drawing after the giraffe :) . 🎨Faber Castell Polychromos 📒Stonehenge 11"x14" (first time using and I have to say this paper is flat out awesome!) . #art #arte #drawing #fabercastell #polychromos #instaartist #instaart #artlovers #artfido #artsy #artoftheday #artnerd #artlife #talnts

Pneumatic tubes feed into purifiers in a now derelict flour mill. The purifiers sieved the larger bran from the finer powdered flour particles using compressed air during the earlier stages of the milling process. The bran could be later added back into the fine milled flour to create wholemeal flour.

This is a two shot panorama of the purifier room. Shot at Millennium Mills in London.
