📣 Sirens Of The Sea (delicious version)
"Take my hand, take my hand, yeah take my hand
Follow me, follow me, yeah, let's go
To the sand, to the sand, the purest sand
Into the sea, into the sea, yeah, let's go"
The most beautiful part to
loving a guarded girl is this:
when she lets you in, it's not
because she needs you. She
stopped needing people a
long time ago. It's because
she wants you, and that is
the purest love of all.

This freshwater 16km fresh water lake has, apparently, some of the purest water in the world...
Here, Pissing Mare Falls (I promise you!) is the highest waterfall in eastern North America at a height of 350m. This and another, smaller, waterfall are being buffeted by the St Lawrence/North Atlantic breeze.

This actually is a re-post. Unsatisfied with the processing, I deleted the old picture from Flickr, added a crop and drama; uploaded it again. Enjoy!

Make It Rain
Ed Sheeran
When the sins of my father
Weigh down in my soul
And the pain of my mother
Will not let me go
Well I know there can come fire from the sky
To refine the purest of kings
And even though
I know this fire brings me pain
Even so
And just the same
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Make it rain
Oh make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Make it rain
Make it rain
The seed needs the water
Before it grows out of the ground
But it just keeps on getting hard
And the hunger more profound
Well I know there can come tears from the eye
But they may as well be in vain
Even though
I know these tears come with pain
Even so
And just the same
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Make it rain
Oh make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Just make it rain
Make it rain
And the seas are full of water
That stops by the shore
Just like the riches of grandeur, oh no no
Never reach the port
And let the clouds fill with thunderous applause
And let lightning be the veins
That fill the sky
With all that they can drop
When it's time to make a change
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Make it rain
Oh make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Oh make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain down low
Make it rain
Oh make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Make it rain
Oh make it rain

This is my favorite shot of the day taken while out there with my friend Glenn Parker . I cropped it this way because he was perched on a power pole and the lower wings and tail were obscured by the pole, insulator, and lines. Snowy Owls like to be on such a high perch to survey the open expanse of prairie around them looking for voles. This is one of the purest white Snowy Owls I have ever seen. According to my Owl banding friends, a male this white is at least 9 or 10 years old. Females this old are still heavily barred with dark spots.

My Definition of Angel in Christmas:
It represents energy and provides us with everything that we can not do without, which is peace, love, harmony and joy. The angel represents illusion in each of us, and our fellow men. May the purest and disinterested love shine in our hearts and that way we start a 2017 and a better New Year for all !!!

There is a magnolia tree in Toronto's "Cabbagetown" neighbourhood that is as tall as the house it sits in front of. It's not only huge, it's a very healthy, robust tree. It has so many blossoms on it every year that some of it's branches bend down under the weight of them.
This shot was taken from underneath one of the over-hanging branches that reaches out over the sidewalk. I stood behind the blossoms and shot them backlit, a way that seems to bring them to their fullest expression. Magnolia blossoms seen to be made to be both rich, velvety and opaque and as translucent and illuminated.
It's been great revisiting old SOOC images and giving them a new and different slant with colour and effects processing. It's made me think of dusting off my digital SLR and shooting with that again. Not as a replacement of my "Pano-Sabotage", iPhone technique, but as a way to keep my work broad by using both.

Los Genoveses Beach,
Los Genoveses beach is a beach in the municipality of Níjar, in the province of Almería (Andalusia, Spain). This San José beach, about 3 km from the center of this neighborhood, located in the area of Campillo del Genovés, a valley with little construction and no paved roads that preserves beauty in its purest form. It is one of the best known and appreciated on the Almería coast. This is recognized for being an unspoilt beach of fine golden sand dunes.
Its appearance has been frequent in the popularity lists made in recent years by different media, such as the one published annually by the Antena 3 website, in which it reached first place as the best beach in Andalusia in 2015.
The origin of the name comes from the invasion of an army of two hundred Genoese ships, a Christian combo that supported Alfonso VII led by the Republic of Genoa in his fight against the Muslims, who landed in the area in 1147 as part of that campaign waiting two months until the attack occurred. Since then, the flag of the capital (Almería) is the same as that of the Genoese state.
Later in 1571, the Spanish Navy army was grouped, made up of more than three hundred ships and thirty thousand men, who would soon fight in The Battle of Lepanto. (Source: Wikipedia)

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
As I said yesterday, one never knows where these image, word and music combinations come from. But they come from somewhere. I believe too much in Synchronicity for them to be purely random.
IMAGE: Our star (Sol) is just about to set on Greens Beach in a Tasmanian Autumn. The world is just about to go into lock down (March 14, 2020). The mood is as ominous (note the origin of this word) as the very low clouds that seem to be pressing in upon the viewer. Soon the light darkens suddenly and a golden glow bathes the beach (I'll show you that one tomorrow).
MUSIC: Arvo Pärt (b. 1935) is an Estonian composer. Eastern Orthodox by faith, he is a truly innovative composer - especially for human voice - in the minimalist style. In this piece, "Spiegel im Spiegel" (Mirror in the Mirror), the cello assumes the role of the human voice. Its haunting melody is enhanced by the mirroring effect (like being in a musical hall of mirrors). I like to think of it as an Antiphonal Prayer, where the worshippers respond by repeating a line in the liturgy. The purest prayer is poetic. "Speigel im Speigel" www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZe3mXlnfNc
WORDS: The title I have chosen comes from the German philosopher Martin Heidegger (1989-1976). I won't go into the details of Heidegger's vexed life, but he was for all his faults one of the greatest philosophers since Plato. A man intimately concerned with the question of Being and how one might find hope and meaning in a world where "the gods...have left the world, the evening of the world's age has been declining toward its night."
In such a world it is the responsibility of each individual to find their way to the Light. So in poetic form Heidegger writes:
"The world's darkening never reaches to the light of Being.
We are too late for the gods and too early for Being.
Being's poem, just begun, is man.
To head toward a star - this only.
To think is to confine yourself to a single thought that one day stands still like a star in the world's sky."
The Jesus of the Great Power is the main icon of one of the two largest religious processions of Good Friday in Ecuador, which congregates popular strata, in an act of cones and penitents, in the purest medieval style, which evoke the Spanish Seville.
***
Construction of the convent, the city’s largest colonial structure, began only a few weeks after the Spanish establishment of Quito in 1534, but wasn't finished for another 70 years. Although much of the church has been rebuilt because of earthquake damage, some is original. The chapel of Señor Jesús del Gran Poder, to the right of the main altar, has original tile work. The main altar itself is a spectacular example of baroque carving, while the roof shows Moorish influences.
The founder was Franciscan missionary Joedco Ricke, credited with being the first man to sow wheat in Ecuador.
SCILLA SIBERICA: The cobalt blue blossoms of Scilla siberica, also known as Siberian squill or spring beauty, are one of nature's purest blues. Each bulb produces multiple stems, topped with several dainty blue flowers that resemble little parasols.

engl (google translator) : The tip of the wedge points to the place where the first Allied bombing struck on the night of February 13, 1945.
Daniel Libeskind has shaped the history of architecture in the 21st century. With his design for the new military history museum of the Bundeswehr, the German museum landscape can look at another symbolic building that the architect himself describes as the purest Libeskind building to date.
The wedge-shaped, asymmetrical new building permeates the massive, classically structured old building. A transparent facade made of metal slats overlaps the historic building. The new building represents an incision, a disturbance in the building and fundamentally changes not only the external shape, but also the internal spatial structure. His rooms follow their function and stand in clear contrast to the rigid, horizontally aligned column grid of the old building. Again and again the new building breaks through the old building and opens up surprising spatial interlockings and views to the visitor on all levels.
Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926) was an austrian poet and one of my favorites. His poems just touch something deep inside of me. The 'Lied vom Meer / Song of the Sea' is one of my favorites. The english translation isn't bad, but I prefer the original, since most poems just feel much more emotional in the original language. I can only recommend you read some of them, you won't regret it.
Uraltes Wehn vom Meer,
Meerwind bei Nacht:
du kommst zu keinem her;
wenn einer wacht,
so muß er sehn, wie er
dich übersteht:
uraltes Wehn vom Meer,
welches weht
nur wie für Urgestein,
lauter Raum
reißend von weit herein.
O wie fühlt dich ein
treibender Feigenbaum
oben im Mondschein.
Timeless sea breezes,
sea-wind of the night:
you come for no one;
if someone should wake,
he must be prepared
how to survive you.
Timeless sea breezes,
that for aeons have
blown ancient rocks,
you are purest space
coming from afar…
Oh, how a fruit-bearing
fig tree feels your coming
high up in the moonlight.

Talloires, Duingt, Lake Annecy and snowed mountains - France
Also known as the “Blue Lake”, Lake Annecy (French: Lac d'Annecy), at the heart of the Savoy Alps, takes pride in being one of the cleanest and purest lakes in the world because of strict environmental regulations introduced in the 1960s.
It is the third largest lake in France, after the Lac du Bourget and Lac de Grand-Lieu, if the French part of Lake Geneva (which is also partly in Switzerland) is excluded.
Lake Annecy was formed 18,000 years ago, when large alpine glaciers melted. It owes its reputation to its extraordinary location, which has been the inspiration of many artists. The impressionist painter Paul Cézanne (1839-1906), inspired by the light that bathes the site and is reflected in the turquoise water, immortalised the lake with his renowned oil painting, Le Lac bleu (the Blue Lake) in 1896.
I can't conceive the nucleus of all
Begins inside a tiny seed
And what we think as insignificant
Provides the purest air we breathe
But who am I to doubt or question the inevitable being
For these are but a few discoveries
We find inside the Secret Life of Plant
Much has been written and debated about this hawkmoth in the Canary Islands. Some say the race of Hyles tithymali, the Barbary Spurge Hawkmoth, on the Canary Islands is the purest of all, showing no trace of Hyles euphorbiae, the Spurge Hawkmoth.
The Barbary Spurge Hawk-moth, is a moth of the family Sphingidae first described by Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1834. It is found in North Africa, the Canary Islands, Madeira, some islands in the Mediterranean Sea and in the mountains in Yemen. The length of the forewings is 45–85 mm. The larvae feed on Euphorbia.

Hard to describe how stunning the water and sand is there. Though I believe Shakespeare once said after visiting: "Lo, the water doth don the most exquisite hue of turquoise, the sand, a garment of purest white, and the heavens above, a vast tapestry of the deepest blue."

One of the purest and most beautiful lakes in the world is located in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. Moraine Lake, which features turquoise water and a mountainous surrounding, is hidden in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Moraine Lake is a glacially-fed lake in Banff National Park, outside the Village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 6,183 feet (1,885 m).
The lake, being glacially fed, does not reach its crest until mid to late June. When it is full, it reflects a distinct shade of blue. The colour is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual basis.
