Liebe Flickr Freunde !
Bärbel ließ es sich nicht nehmen, meinen Geburtstagsgast, den kleinen Malachi unser Puppenzimmer zu zeigen. Er hat sich dort gleich wohlgefühlt und auf dem großen Fauteuil Platz genommen. Alleine war er zum Glück nicht, es wohnen ja einige Püppchen dort.
Im Fernsehen spielte es gerade eine Doku über Mariazell und an der Wand überm Bett hängt immer noch das Bild von Onkel Steve !
Wir anderen hatten währenddessen die Idee für ein gemeinsames Spiel, das zeigt Euch Oma aber nächstes Mal.

Bärbel did not miss the opportunity to show my birthday guest, little Malachi, our doll's room. He immediately felt at home there and took a seat on the big armchair. Fortunately he was not alone, as there are several dolls living there.
A documentary about Mariazell was playing on the television and Uncle Steve’s picture still hangs on the wall above the bed !
Meanwhile, the rest of us had the idea of playing a game together, which Granny will show you next time.

... lockte die Kinder aus den Hängematten hinaus auf die Terrasse. Dort gab es große Wiedersehensfreude für Asha und Bärbel und ebenso mit den Kindergartenkindern. Die haben es sich auf den Gartenmöbeln schon bequem gemacht und genießen das Picknick !!! 😉😃.... Fortsetzung folgt ...

... attrackted the children out of the hammocks onto the terrace. There was great reunion for Asha and Bärbel and also with the kindergarten children. They have already made themselves comfortable on the garden furniture and are enjoying the picnic !!! 😉😃 .... to be continued ...

… zeigte Länsel, Bretel und den Bären Bruno, Petsy, Paddy, Scout, Peter und Oleg den Weg durch den Wald. Als sie an einen Bach kamen, fanden sie Wegweiser, die ihnen jeweils die Richtung ihres Heimweges anzeigten. Es war ihnen klar, dass sich hier ihre Wege trennen mussten und sie verabschiedeten sich herzlich voneinander.
Länsel und Bretel hatten allerdings den Bach zu überqueren und standen ratlos davor.
Da kam ein schöner Schwan geschwommen, dem die Kinder zuriefen:
"Oh schöner Schwan, sei unser Kahn!"
Der Schwan kam zum Ufer und brachte ein Kind nach dem anderen hinüber ans andere Ufer. Malachi schloss sich ihnen an bis sie zum Haus der Großeltern gelangten.

... showed Länsel, Bretel and the bears Bruno, Petsy, Paddy, Scout, Peter and Oleg the way through the forest. When they came to a stream, they found signposts, each showing them the direction of their way home. It was clear to them that this was where their paths must part and they bid each other a fond farewell.
Länsel and Bretel, however, had to cross the stream and stood in front of it, perplexed.
Then a beautiful swan came swimming and the children called out to it:
"Oh beautiful swan, be our boat!"
The swan came to the bank and brought one child after another across to the other bank. Malachi joined them until they reached the grandparents' house.

Luis, Bärbel und Dromi haben nun in der ersten Reihe neben den anderen Kindern im Kameltheater Platz genommen. Nach der launigen Einführung von Herrn Zöchling ging die lustige Show los. Die Kamele spielten das Stück: Ich bin ein Star !
Kaum zu glauben, aber die Kamele konnten sprechen !! 😂
Dazu bekamen sie im richtigen Moment Leckerlis, die sie genüsslich schmatzten, und zu diesen Lippenbewegungen waren die Stimmen von verschiedenen österreichischen Kabarettisten mit dem passenden Text zu hören. Luis, Bärbel, Dromi, wie auch wir waren von der unterhaltsamen Vorführung begeistert !! 👋
Luis, Bärbel and Dromi now took their seats in the front row next to the other children in the camel theatre. After Mr. Zöchling's humorous introduction, the funny show started. The camels performed the play: I am a star !
Hard to believe, but the camels could talk !! 😂

(Vor vielen Jahren, als ich noch keine Puppengeschichten erfand, entwarf und nähte ich diese Tastbilderbücher für Blinde und sehbehinderte Kinder. Die Spinne ist mit einem Klettverschluss im Spinnennetz angebracht und kann herausgenommen werden.)

(Many years ago, when I wasn't making up doll stories, I designed and sewed these tactile storybooks for blind and visually impaired children. The spider is attached to the spider web with a Velcro fastener and can be removed.)
… bekommen Schnitzel mit Pommes Frittes, Fischstäbchen mit Erdäpfel-Gurkensalat und Spaghetti Bolognese aufgetischt und können endlich ihre hungrigen Bäuche sättigen.
"Malachi, was isst denn du? " fragt Bretel.
"Ist das nicht offensichtlich? Es ist Tea-Time und ich nehme eine exzellente Tasse mit Tee und einen hervorragenden Zitronenkuchen."
Nach der köstlichen Mahlzeit bereitet die nette Frau den Kindern und Malachi ein gemütliches Bett und die drei schlafen zufrieden ein.

…... are served Schnitzel with French fries, Fish fingers with potato and cucumber salad and Spaghetti Bolognese and can finally fill their hungry bellies.
"Malachi, what are you having to eat? " Bretel asks.
"Isn't it obvious? It's tea-time for me and I'll have an excellent cup of tea and a superb lemon cake."
After the delicious meal, the kind woman prepares a cosy bed for the children and Malachi and the three fall asleep contentedly.

Luis und Bärbel gefiel es gut in Kenia. Sie machten dort Bekanntschaft mit schön gekleideten Kühen und schauten sich das Massai Dorf an.

(Halloween ist eigentlich nicht mein Fest. Es wurde bei uns in Österreich erst vor etwa 30 Jahren von der Wirtschaft eingeführt und den Spruch "Süßes! Sonst gibt's Saures!" finde ich unhöflich, wenn nicht sogar ein wenig bedrohlich. Die Halloween Fotos machte ich speziell für meine Flickr Freundinnen Connie aus Nordirland und Jeanne aus den USA, und ich muss zugeben, die Gruselei hat mir letztlich richtig Spaß gemacht !!) 😊

(Halloween is actually not my festival. It was only introduced in Austria about 30 years ago by the economy and I find the saying "Trick or treat" rude, if not a little threatening. The Halloween photos I made it especially for my Flickr friends Connie from Northern Ireland and Jeanne from the USA, and I have to admit, I really enjoyed the creepiness !!) 😊

So ein Puppenleben ist auch nicht immer ein Honigschlecken !! 😮Bei den Fotoaufnahmen kommt es immer wieder einmal zu Stürzen, aber selten zu Fotos davon. Im Normalfall versuche ich mit meiner freien Hand das Puppenkind schnell aufzufangen, bei diesen Aufnahmen jedoch hatte ich schon auf den Auslöser gedrückt, bevor Luis oder auch Bärbels Fächer denen ihnen zugedachten Platz plötzlich verließen … Bei Aufnahmen im Schnee stürzte Luis kopfüber ins kühle Weiß und obwohl ihn sein Lächeln trotzdem nicht verließ, liefen ihm tatsächlich Tränen aus den Augen !! 😢
Zum Glück haben mir die beiden bis jetzt trotzdem nicht die Zusammenarbeit gekündigt ...😜
Such a doll's life is not always a piece of cake !! 😮During the photo shoots, there are always falls, but rarely photos of them. Normally I try to catch the doll quickly with my free hand, but in these photos I had already pressed the shutter release before Luis or Bärbel's fan suddenly left their intended place ... In photos taken in the snow, Luis fell headfirst into the cool white and although his smile did not leave him, tears actually ran from his eyes !! 😢
Fortunately, they still haven't cancelled their cooperation with me ...😜

LUIS: “Wir spielen, dass wir alles in die Tasche einpacken und nach Australien verreisen. Da besuchen wir Miss Morgan und Merlin. Eine Merlin Figur habe ich da schon in der Hand !”
BÄRBEL: “Gute Idee ! Den neuen Bären nehmen wir auch mit !”

Nach drei Wochen verpuppen sich die Larven dieses Blattkäfers. Bis die Käfer schlüpfen hängen die Puppen kopfüber an den Blättern oder Stängeln ihrer Futterpflanze.

Nach unserer Pause ging es in den Gärten von Lismore Castle wieder weiter.
BÄRBEL “Luis, was machst du denn da ?”
LUIS: “Sieht man das nicht ?”
BÄRBEL: “Wird das etwa ein Kopfstand ?”
LUIS: “Nein, ich mache einen Purzelbaum ! Möchtest du auch probieren ?”

After our break, we continued on to the gardens of Lismore Castle.
BÄRBEL: ‘Luis, what are you doing ?’
LUIS: ‘Can't you see ?’
BÄRBEL: ‘Are you doing a headstand ?’
LUIS: ‘No, I'm doing a somersault ! Would you like to try it too ?’
