Mission Statement
Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

Yep, today (11/11/13) is Ruby's Birthday and she's reached the grand old age of four! She had her party last Saturday and her and some of her friends celebrated with a luxury cake* and plenty of sausages. Today has been lazy with walkies and munching of more birthday cake, and playing with pressies, and of course her favourite treat, an open fire to shnuggle up to.
Again, Happy Birthday my furrry, funny, darling little friend! X
*Usual recipe with minced beef, pork sausagemeat, breadcrumbs and egg to bind, but this year with extra bacon bits!
For the December MSH - Cosy
Grey seal pup, Halichoerus grypus, having a yawn. It's what I'm doing at the moment too. (but don't have quite as many chins!).
I ventured to Donna Nook, Lincs, today with my daughter. The seals were fantastic, but the weather was pretty vile - gloomy, showery and way too cold to linger in one place for long.
Handheld, natural light. Would have liked some sunlight to perk up the photos - all look rather flat to me.
Being early in the season, this is a recently born pup, the soft white fur is replaced by the usual darker adult fur after a few weeks. As mamals, the pups take milk from their mothers, the milk is very rich and the pups grow quickly, they have too, the mothers fast whilst giving birth and rearing the young, so after all but a few weeks the mothers return to the sea to feed and the pups have to learn how to fish and fend for themselves.
Border collie pup, here 10 weeks young, laat een van de eerste ontmoetingen met het hondenveldje op zich inwerken. Hij woont samen met een Alaskische Malamute. Ondertussen druk met een cursus schapen drijven.
Alpha pups pick on another. None of them ever get more picked on than others. They have this amazing social system where no one is allowed to dominate anybody and so they all get equal treatment. See video on www.wildcast.net
I wish I could've brought him back home...but the six others would be left alone...decided i'll leave him behind...
