reflections outside the fine arts museum

Took this a while ago posting now for Fence Friday.

rain puddle

雨の日の散歩道。

from afar, this could be sunset over an ocean. the reality: it’s a puddle in the parking lot of home depot. after getting paint supplies, i walked outside to magical light on ice and puddles. ocean or parking lot, there’s beauty around us. i’m trying to find a bigger perspective.

i love snow puddles: when snow melts, tattered leaves are revealed. they're tattered yet still rich and beautiful, especially when illuminated by the sun. this reminds me to look inward at my frayed, hidden places—places that need care and illumination.

Lonely Runner at Icarai Beach Sidewalk - Niterói, Rio de Janeiro.

These Tiger swallowtails were puddling on an ashy area in rocks that's normally underwater. One Spicebush swallowtail joined them - see 2nd shot below.

There was this large flat rock that had a puddle of rain left over from the day before. This is what I saw. Be safe all and enjoy always (;-D

Kahn will cool off in any puddle of water. I like the reflection of the clouds & the treetops in the gutter behind Kahn.
