Shot on the side of a loch in Argyll. A large pond seemingly in the middle of nowhere accross from a field on a lush (but drab) summers day.
My regular walking track around the wetlands had a few puddles the other day following the rain and hail. So here's a puddle shot into the morning glare. Have a great Friday everyone. Take care! If you want to see a puddle master check Rodney Chester!
This is a muddy puddle at the park. I had to walk through it to get to the "good stuff"... the fountains!! But I thought it may be a good looking puddle in pics (lol), so I gave it a go. Zoom in - the macro lens did some fun stuff to the water! That's SOTC.
Posted for the 7DWF group crazy Tuesday theme Sea / River / Puddle. Hope you enjoy! ;-)
Far from being a puddle, I can assure you. Actually, it's a lake ... part of a group of four all connected by short streams .... Bottle Pond, Padille Pond, Puddle Pond, and Portage Lake. It's quite deep in places and holds some really nice trout. Haven't fished it for a couple of years, though. You need a boat to fish it properly but it's kind of hard to get one to it now, since a bridge on an access road off a logging road is in a state of disrepair. Besides that, I have all the fishing I can handle with Atlantic salmon in Labrador and here on the island. It sure was pretty on this day, though!
Kahn is very pleased to have a puddle to drink from & lay in :) on our walk today. It's been raining since 4.30 Thursday morning; starting with a BIG thunder storm!
Taken in the month of June when the trees were full of foliage, this was the scene after a very heavy downpour. Wellies defifnitely needed to navigate those puddles.
I have enhanced the image with post processing.
After a day of snow and rain Prospect Park has some small lakes/puddles created that pick up some great reflections
Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my photos . Your views, comments, faves are very appreciated.
I have a thing about puddle reflections. You don't need a landscaped fountain, alpine lake or manicured gardens with a lily pond to find interesting reflections, sometimes in your own back yard. This reflection of a palm tree and stop sign was spotted at the side of the road while walking my dog.
A Queen Alexandra's Sulphur, Colias alexandra, sips water, minerals and salts from the edge of a stream. Several species were puddling at this moment, but they were not sufficiently gregarious to capture in the same frame.
