A testimony to expertise is the speed with which AFI have grown.
From only three depots with 270 machines in 2002, AFI have now expanded to 18 depots offering over 4,500 rental units! At the same time we have increased resources, which are paramount to provide solid support within the depot network.
AFI have invested significantly in there delivery fleet, securing tight control of access to vehicles across the depot network.
Following the merger of AFI Aerial Platforms and Uplift in 2006, they cemented a position as one of the largest powered access companies in the industry.
A £15 million injection from Barclays Private Equity, one of the UK’s leading providers of development capital, has given AFI-Uplift the financial strength to develop still further in the years to come.
This investment is a tremendous vote of confidence in the AFI-Uplift team, which remains committed to providing individual service and support, ensuring customer demands are met on time, every time.
In the final quarter of 2007, they acquired two further businesses, North East Access and Central Access, enabling them to further develop a national depot network.
In 2008 they opened a depot in Preston and also relocated a number of depots to larger facilities.
During that year AFI became the first powered access rental company to achieve Achilles BuildingConfidence accreditation.
In 2009 AFI made further investment in the fleet by purchasing a number of Pop-Ups and BoSS X3 machines for the smaller end of the market and two Hollandlift G-320 Megastars to serve the needs of the high end.
AFI also gained two further accreditations – Safecontractor and TiVA supplier accreditation. AFI continued to invest in systems and processes, for example introducing the digital pen system to service engineers.
In 2010 AFI gained both the ISO 14001 environmental management standard and the OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety standard to add to our ISO 9001 standard.
AFI opened a London City depot at Leyton, which is only 1.7 miles from the Olympic Park and serves Westfield Stratford City and the Olympic Park. AFI also launched a new web portal, AFI Aspect, which enables customers to view their contracts with AFI in real time.
In 2011 AFI
Completed a programme to extend the digital pen system to delivery drivers so that customers can receive images of machines delivered and collected.
Powered Access Making further extensive investment in the rental fleet, with several hundred new machines being added.

the "our corporate image is dated" challenge.
Challenge
W.T. SeaAir is a global logistics provider with an impressive portfolio of clients including many high street retailers and their suppliers. However, a period of significant expansion and acquisition had left the company with a fragmented corporate image, identity and proposition.
Discuss
It became clear that the company needed to send out a strong signal to the market place that it has the resources, people and expertise to provide sophisticated supply chain solutions. It was also evident that the company did not have the marketing tools and materials to support its growth ambitions.
Solution
Unite all W.T. SeaAir’s services under one umbrella - from a new logo to literature - even down to pens! Our designers and copywriters all got involved to ensure that visuals and copy were clear and consistent. The new logo provided industry synergy by using container shaped blocks to form the company name, whilst our writers delivered a suite of sales literature with concise content.
Result
The new brand and copy has now been integrated into all elements of the business - and the feedback has been positive. The company’s new corporate image and supporting materials reflect its position as one of the fastest growing global logistics providers in the UK - providing clear pathways to its services and expertise.

The gag rule would prevent healthcare providers who receive federal funding under the family planning program from referring patients for abortion care. The object is to try and defund abortion providers like Planned Parenthood. Yet, abortion counseling etc., is only 3% of what Planned Parenthood actually does. They offer a wide range of women's healthcare needs, including cancer screenings.

This is a photograph from the Leixlip Le Cheile AC Royal Canal Trail Marathon Summer 2014 was held on the beautiful banks of the Royal Canal from Moyvalley, Co. Kildare to Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Saturday 21st of June 2014 at 13:00, the day of the Summer Solstice. The race started at Furey's Pub in Moyvalley and proceeded westwards to Blackshade bridge where the race turned around and then the route was directly back to Leixlip. The running route followed the Royal Canal Way. The race finished at Leixlip Amenities Center (outside on the road). The marathon follows on from the Le Cheile AC midnight marathon which was held earlier in day starting at midnight on 21st June. In total 22 people took part in the event in which all runners must be fully self supported. It was a beautiful day for a trail marathon. The Royal Canal bank looked wonderful in the warm summer sunshine. There are some nice numbers for the race today. 26.2 miles, 2 counties, 5 traversals in and out of Meath and Kildare, crossing 6 roads, and passing under 5 bridges before the finish outside the Leixlip amenities center. The Royal Canal is a very special piece of Irish Heritage. It's waterway channel and it's banks have seen much history with both the rise and subsequent decline in railway and canal travel and transportation. Our run on the Royal Canal is made possible by the incredible hard and dilligent work by the Inland Waterways of Ireland and countless volunteer individuals who turned their vision of a restored Royal Canal into reality.
This set of photographs were taken at section known mostly only to locals as Ballinabarney Boreen just before the turn around point. The turn around point is about 3.5 miles from the start at Furey's. It is deep in rural county Meath.

I want to download these pictures to my computer or device?
You can download the photographic image here direct to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. However - look for a symbol with three dots 'ooo' or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.
I want get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?
If you just need these photographs for online usage then they can be used directly once you respect their Creative Commons license and provide a link back to our Flickr set if you use them. For offline usage and printing all of the photographs posted here on this Flickr set are available free, at no cost, at full image resolution.

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets

Health care providers adjust personal protective equipment before entering an Ebola treatment unit in Liberia. Ebola spreads through contact with an infected person’s bodily fluids, so health care workers are at high risk of infection. Helping host nations implement rigorous protocols for donning and removing personal protective equipment is one key to containing outbreaks, and one line of effort for JPM-MCS in collaboration with WHO and others.
