Majdan is famous since the 2004 and the orange revolution. Since November 2013 and February 2014 it is the point of interest of euro-majdan protests. Many self-made ostructions and isolated castles are on the square since the protests.
Thousands of protesters marched through downtown Chicago on Sunday in one of the city's largest demonstrations in years, airing grievances about war, climate change and a wide range of other complaints as world leaders assembled for a NATO summit.
The protest, which for months had stirred worries about violence in the streets, drew together a broad assortment of participants, including peace activists joining with war veterans and people more focused on economic inequality.
Hundreds of protesters gathered late Sunday night near the Art Institute of Chicago as first lady Michelle Obama hosted a dinner for spouses of NATO leaders inside. At least 100 Chicago police officers in riot gear were also at the scene.
City Councilman and former police officer, Dennis Zine, responded to DEA regarding their raids on medical cannabis dispensaries as well as letters sent by the DEA to at least 140 landlords of dispensing facilities. He requested that the DEA "abandon this tactic and allow this City Council to continue the important work of regulating these facilities without Federal interference."

Protest rally called by Mining Dependents at Kranti Circle, KTC Panaji on 19.3.18. Supreme Court stopped all mining activities effective 16.3.18 after cancelling all mining permits.
