Kill the Bill protests, Sheffield.
A young couple offer love and comfort to each other against a backdrop of protesters' sensible footwear. I like this photo, I feel that I have caught a moment of tenderness and also, it is as though the other protestors have formed a protective shield around them. I see this as an image of hope.
Except for South Koreans, few people will understand whom she's protesting against. Yoon Suk Yeol is the president of South Korea since 2022 and is taking a pro-west stance, talking with Japan, not negotiating with North Korea anymore. Beside this, he has a few very conservative views, e.g. relegating women to traditional roles. The protest is taking place in front of the US embassy.

She's almost eight years old. And it was her that inspired me to go on photo-walks and led me to see so much. But she is a clever little dog who has learnt alot. And when she sees me stop and pause to take a photo, if she's eager to move on she can work out exactly what I'm trying to photograph and will deliberately go and sit down right in the middle of the shot, as a sit-down protest to tell me to get a move on. She's now of an age where she is getting quite insistent on getting her way, as you can see here!
Orgreave campaign annual rally, Sheffield.
The Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign includes ex-miners, Trades Unionists, activists and others who are determined to get justice for miners who were victims of police lies and cover ups at Orgreave in June 1984.
Last night just before the Strawberry Moonrise, I caught these protesters on the steps of the WW1 Memorial doing a peaceful presentation.
I could relate to this woman obviously.

Hi,
Recently Flickr did a remodel of the site and it was VERY poorly done. I am hoping to get at least 10,000 signatures to turn into Marissa Mayer. Please share this with all your friends! We need this to go viral.
That's why I signed a petition to Marissa Mayer, CEO, which says:
"We ask you to please change Flickr back to its old style. The new style is incredibly poorly done and we had no chance to opt out or even pick between the new and old style."
Will you sign the petition too? Click here to add your name:

Thanks!

Oxford Rejects Homophobes!
Exeter College hosted the group Christian Concern to hold a conference. The students believe that this group is anti lgbtq rights, anti Islam, and anti choice. They also believe that these values have no place in Oxford and should not be implicitly supported by allowing the group to hold a conference here. The student s were encouraging people to join the protest and to also make it clear that Oxford, and the student body is absolutely opposed,

On our last visit to Hong Kong, there was street fighting just near our Hotel. this van was in the wrong street, at the wrong moment and paid the penalty.
what's a big gay event without super christian crazy protestors?
the ara was there too, to protest the other protestors
in the face of what happens every day, the word protest appears euphemistic. what you are seeing here is not a demonstration but a crowd defending taksim, so that people can demonstrate and 'occupy' there. yesterday saw a lot of police provocation in order to lure protesters out of the greater taksim area and arrest them, but some strong voices were able to hold back most of the less strategically minded who wanted to throw stones at the water cannons waiting beyond the barricades (a rather futile excercise).
According to an actress closely associated with the ruling party, the protesting farmers are terrorists and paid agents of Pakistan.
Look into their eyes and decide.
Among the protests I've attended over the past 6 months, was this one where a peaceful march was held in front of a local pub where the patrons had accosted BLM marchers the day before. As with every other protest that I attended, the matter was entirely a peaceful venture.
Hardware: Olympus OM-D e-M1.2 with the m.Zuiko 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens. 40mm | f2.8 | ISO200 | 1/640
Software: Initial RAW processing in DxO PhotoLab4 as that software seems to pull the full Olympus juice out of the files. Tweaked in On1 Photo RAW 2021 with a roundtrip into Nik Silver Efex Pro. Finished in Layers where I blended the color and mono versions, added a border and my signature.

Hamburg was on fire last weekend, but the majority of people chose a peaceful way to show their protest. One of them was the rave against G20 with the lovely german name "Lieber tanz ich als G20". 25,000 people dancing and protesting against injustice; spreading love to the beat. Now on my blog: www.zielecki.com/blog/g20-protests-lieber-tanz-ich-als-g20
