I'm adding this picture of the Amber Fort in Jaipur as World Elephant Day is tomorrow. It was my next stop after Ranthambore Park as well. This trip encompassed so many varied destinations. It was a difficult, but an outstanding itinerary.

I first saw elephants in Asia where they are used as working beats of burden. It seemed so common place I gave the practice little thought until I went to Africa and saw the gentle giants in the wild. My thoughts changed and it is nice to see that the Indian people are demanding change
Imagine the difficulties being faced by the commuters. Tikri border is the third protest site I am visiting.

A young couple offer love and comfort to each other against a backdrop of protesters' sensible footwear. I like this photo, I feel that I have caught a moment of tenderness and also, it is as though the other protestors have formed a protective shield around them. I see this as an image of hope.

Thank you all for apreciating this photo, right now it is probably nothing more important than to stop this war.
Also, for me it was also the most physically painful photo, ever. I had to keep the camera single-handed in a very unusual angle, and my right hand, which is still recovering after triple-break and surgery was just screaming 'give up, give UP, GIVE UP! GIVE UP NOW, YOU FOOL!' So yes, I feel some satisfaction that I did not give up and somebody can appreciate it. Thank you.

Oxford Rejects Homophobes!
Exeter College hosted the group Christian Concern to hold a conference. The students believe that this group is anti lgbtq rights,anti Islam,and anti choice. They also believe that these values have no place in Oxford and should not be implicitly supported by allowing the group to hold a conference here. The student s were encouraging people to join the protest and to also make it clear that Oxford, and the student body is absolutely opposed,

Recently Flickr did a remodel of the site and it was VERY poorly done. I am hoping to get at least 10,000 signatures to turn into Marissa Mayer. Please share this with all your friends! We need this to go viral.
That's why I signed a petition to Marissa Mayer, CEO, which says:
"We ask you to please change Flickr back to its old style. The new style is incredibly poorly done and we had no chance to opt out or even pick between the new and old style."

You know what? I saw a lot of the protesters out there, faces covered, trying to be shady. These protesters were out in the open, causing no problems and being amicable to people.
I'm with them. I share their message.
There were some other students protesting for "Safe Data Mining" but I didn't get a chance to photograph them. I have to say, I'm all for "Safe Data Mining."
According to an actress closely associated with the ruling party, the protesting farmers are terrorists and paid agents of Pakistan.
