Kill the Bill protests, Sheffield.

A young couple offer love and comfort to each other against a backdrop of protesters' sensible footwear. I like this photo, I feel that I have caught a moment of tenderness and also, it is as though the other protestors have formed a protective shield around them. I see this as an image of hope.

Except for South Koreans, few people will understand whom she's protesting against. Yoon Suk Yeol is the president of South Korea since 2022 and is taking a pro-west stance, talking with Japan, not negotiating with North Korea anymore. Beside this, he has a few very conservative views, e.g. relegating women to traditional roles. The protest is taking place in front of the US embassy.

Oxford Rejects Homophobes!

Exeter College hosted the group Christian Concern to hold a conference. The students believe that this group is anti lgbtq rights, anti Islam, and anti choice. They also believe that these values have no place in Oxford and should not be implicitly supported by allowing the group to hold a conference here. The student s were encouraging people to join the protest and to also make it clear that Oxford, and the student body is absolutely opposed,

Hi,

Recently Flickr did a remodel of the site and it was VERY poorly done. I am hoping to get at least 10,000 signatures to turn into Marissa Mayer. Please share this with all your friends! We need this to go viral.

That's why I signed a petition to Marissa Mayer, CEO, which says:

"We ask you to please change Flickr back to its old style. The new style is incredibly poorly done and we had no chance to opt out or even pick between the new and old style."

Will you sign the petition too? Click here to add your name:

Thanks!

Extinction Rebellion Protests at Oxford Circus, London, United Kingdom

On our last visit to Hong Kong, there was street fighting just near our Hotel. this van was in the wrong street, at the wrong moment and paid the penalty.

this guy was nuts-ing out to the music. i have my doubts as to the sincerity of many of the people camping out at the "protest" Occupy LA movement. many seemed to be the same people; bums, transients, homeless, mentally ill, that live on the streets. here they had free food and free sleeping bags.

what's a big gay event without super christian crazy protestors?

the ara was there too, to protest the other protestors

Shortly after my stint in the Army in '71, I did what I could to protest the war in Viet Nam and made the New Orleans' Times Picayune newspaper, even though they misinterpreted my motive. I remember having to stand on the hand railing to reach the top of the letters!

Yep, I was a wild and crazy guy... ;)

You know what? I saw a lot of the protesters out there, faces covered, trying to be shady. These protesters were out in the open, causing no problems and being amicable to people.

I'm with them. I share their message.

There were some other students protesting for "Safe Data Mining" but I didn't get a chance to photograph them. I have to say, I'm all for "Safe Data Mining."

This is the closeup of a sculpture entitled "Hunger March" by artist Jens Galschiotdisplayed and it was being displayed in the park along with 2 other as a series. The whole piece was actually 20 copper sculptures of starved children, and it appeared as a mobile manifestation in the protests during the WTO summit.

I think the facial expressions of starved children showed a lot of pride despite the injustice they're going through and all, so i zoomed in and took a few shots. This is the one i liked more. Hope y'all like it too. I'll submit a photo of the sculptures as a whole piece later.

On June 6, 2020, about 175 historical ships from the so-called 'brown fleet' gathered near the fortress island 'Pampus' to protest against the lack of government aid in the corona crisis. According to the skippers - the fleet has about 400 ships in total - many bankruptcies are imminent in their sector due to the corona crisis. In the summer months, the money is earned on vacation and other trips that with the partial corona-lockdown could not continue. The bankruptcies also threaten to remove a piece of history from the Frisian and Dutch waters.

A photo that gives new meaning to the Dutch saying "voor Pampus liggen".
