Mr. Philip Ayles, 37 years old, is holding a red protest sign with red writing on it. He is dressed in casual business attire and wearing a pair of dark sunglasses.
At first glance, the protest sign is not easy to read because of its monochromatic colors. The color of the ink used to write matches the color of the poster board too closely. Zooming in however, one is able to read the sign which has a message for President Obama. Mr. Ayles, told me that he is a former Military Police and Iraq War Veteran with over 20 years experience. He also told me that he has lost his job and that he had come to protest in front of the White House and is asking President Obama why he (Mr. Ayles) has not been able to get as much as an interview even after applying for over 300 federal jobs! The sign also states that President Obama had said that he "would take care of returning war veterans with Federal Hiring Preference!"
Mr. Ayles is from Seattle, Washington, where is lives with his wife and children. He came to protest in Washington, DC, for 4 days.
