Yahoo has a history of bad user interfaces, but IMHO they've managed to pull out all the stops with Flickr.

Flickr was, not long ago, easy to use and straight-forward. When the Yahoo yahoos got ahold of it... well, it's evolved into something totally different from that which millions of users knew and loved.

It's choppy, hard to use, and missing so much that I used on a daily basis. For instance... if there's a way to view a photo at full size, I've yet to find it. And why are my photos tagged Restricted as a default?

I still use Flickr because of the huge user base and the name brand. But that doesn't mean I like it.

Now it's just somebody that I used to know.

The lead-up to Saturdays protests against the TPPA shows the commitment of people across the country to send a message that the government cant ignore, said ItsOurFuture spokesperson Edward Miller.Nationwide day of action against TPPA: “Ignore us at your peril” government warned

“The lead-up to Saturday’s protests against the TPPA shows the commitment of people across the country to send a message that the government can’t ignore”, said ItsOurFuture spokesperson Edward Miller.

A video shows young activists publicising Saturday’s nationwide protests with footage from Auckland, Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch, and Nelson.

Action in the 22 centres starts at 10am in Raglan and many of the larger centre marches begin at 1pm, including Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

“People have been incredibly creative”, Miller said. “In Christchurch a giant plain-packaged cigarette packet will be marching in the crowd, while Auckland will be led by an enormous Trojan Horse, locked in a tug-of-war between major commercial interests and activist communities.”

“Around the country everyday kiwis will be photographed for a virtual campaign with signs saying ‘I am a ___________ and I say #TPPANoDeal.’ Already this campaign has been very popular.”

“Trade minister Tim Groser needs to recognise that people don’t buy the ‘trust me’ line. They want to be listened to when they say they don’t want the TPPA. And they deserve to be listened to.”

The protest was calling for an urgent resolution on a range of post-incident issues including the rehousing of survivors locally, the release of funds to cover welfare and loss costs as well as for an immediate commission to investigate the recent £10m refurbishment project and to look at similar buildings in the borough to identify fire, health and safety risks and put in place immediate control measures.

Turbulence in the Middle East namely the ongoing battle between Palestine and Israel has hit the cities in the U.S. namely San Francisco. The protest in San Francisco on November 15 2012 at the Israeli consulate on Montgomery Street was loud and got very aggressive toward's the end when the Palestinian protesters became eager to confront the pro-Israeli protesters who showed up across the street. The Palestinian protesters were very loud and repetitive in their message while the pro-Israeli protesters seemed to belittle and mock the pro-Palestinian protesters.

I was "live on scene at Israeli vs Palestine protest in downtown SF, and couldn't figure out what side of the police line I was on. It got messy for a second. Tonight while covering that protest it was like a roller coaster. People screaming and hollering, signs everywhere, police with batons, cars speeding-by, workers trying to leave, and the pushing and shoving that often occurs by protesters, and all-the-while trying to make sure I remain objective.

On November 5th, 2008, Proposition 8 was passed by California voters by a margin of 52.5% vs 47.5%. Following the passing of the proposition, many California counties have stopped issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples. As a result wide-spread protests have been documented across the state - San Francisco experiencing one of the largest on November 7th, 2008 as protesters took to the street.
