These Unite Union members are protesting about the use of meat imported from Thailand, they are concerned it will drive down conditions for low paid workers in Britain and Ireland.
The union has taken their concerns to Tesco but no action has been shown to be taken so they are asking consumers to support the campaign for clear labeling of meat.
These three police officers stood by while the crowd across the street protested. I don't remember why they were protesting, but I remember there was a good reason.
Sunday 4 October 20015 saw huge crowds take to the streets of to protest. The event was organised by the TUC.
Greater Manchester Police mounted an operation to ensure people’s right to protest was upheld while ensuring the city could function as normal.
Chief Superintendent John O’Hare, who commanded the operation, said: “Around 60,000 people took part in a demonstration within our city in the spirit of their causes and I would like to thank them for their co-operation.
”The overwhelming majority of people exercised their democratic right to protest with dignity and good grace.
”In those rare instances where individuals sought to cause trouble, our officers acted in a calm and professional manner to ensure that the actions of the few did not compromise the safety, enjoyment and reputation of the majority.
”The fact that only four arrests were made was particularly pleasing.
“I would like to thank the organisers for taking responsibility and ensuring the demonstration was planned and delivered appropriately.”

Random protest at Syntagma metro station. The "bikers" were requesting that the transportation of bicycles be allowed in the metro trains. Actually, it is allowed, as long as the bikes can and are folded (...response to forum comment: yes, I do understand that these bikes are more expensive).
Although I cannot argue with what they were requesting, they were very loud and obnoxious. People, you should not start shouting and riding bikes at high speed in closed, confined places with a lot of people around. Take it to the square outside or the streets.

Drove out to Protestor Falls, The Channon a while back while I was home visiting my parents. It was started raining quite heavy after I got this shot so I didn't actually get to the falls but I find this shot very serene and relaxing.
I plan to go back and shoot the actual falls again soon!

A protest message written on an idyllic landscape. Anyone like to take a stab at translating it? The scenery on the right of shot looks suspiciously like the heather and glens of Scotland. I don't think China has anything remotely resembling this.
