Bohemian Switzerland - Bohemian Switzerland is the czech part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in northern Bohemia. The landscape of Bohemian Switzerland has for centuries fascinated geologists, sport climbers and the romantic souls of artists. Most of the nature reserve is blanketed by forest.
Die Böhmische Schweiz liegt im Nordwesten von Tschechien. Diese Landschaft ist voll von geheimen Orten mit einer sehr interessanten Geschichte. Die Region wird auch sächsisch-böhmische Schweiz genannt, denn geologisch ist die sächsisch-tschechische Grenzregion einheitlich und den meisten Besuchern unter dem oft als synonym verwendeten Begriff Elbsandsteingebirge bekannt.

I was dark, cold, slippery and uneven inside the nondesescript Koh Panak or Ice Cream cave- first stop on the Ao Phang Nga National Park speedboat tour, known more commonly as the James Bond Islands tour. There are stalactites and stalagmites inside in rather nondescript cave, which is long and narrow. You can see tourists crowding to get selfies of each other inside the cave. I was struggling in the cold and uneven surface with a heavy dSLR around my neck and a cheeky guide some of who's remarks and comments were not in good taste. I brushed these aside as I will be stuck with him for the rest of the day. Notes about the Ao Phang Nga National Park appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). Stalactites inside the Koh Panak cave, known more popular as the Ice cream cave, thanks to an ice cream shaped stalagmite inside this cave which we will get to in a moment. This was the first stop on the James Bond islands tour off Phuket, Thailand. This tiny cave as well as James Bond Island (we will get there shortly- see subsequent pictures later in this album) are all part of the Ao Phang Nga National Park, notes about which appeared earlier in this album. I am on a speed boat tour around this park out of Phuket, Thailand. This tour is known more commonly as the James Bond Island tour and we will visit four islands today, including this one and the James Bond island itself. (Phuket, Thailand, Oct/ Nov. 2019)
Children viewed an APAMO presentation highlighting Belize’s protected Areas and the risks of oil exploration and drilling. Children then took action by signing a petition to ban oil exploration and drilling off shore and in Belize’s protected areas

I am on the crowded speedboat off on the Phi Phi Islands tour from Phuket, Thailand. It was raining off and on all day- to add that mystic touch. Our trip had in fact commenced in heavy rains- that didn't bother the speedboat though- and despite covers and a life jacket provided, we were pretty much drenched even as the trip just began! It was fun though, if a bit cold. Detailed notes about the Phi Phi National Park appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). The canyon of river Kamenice near Jetrichovice is mill with a long history. The first information of Dolsky mill dates back to1515. Mill played in the famous fairytale - The princess of pride.

A group of Chinese tourists checked into my resort soon after I checked in. I saw the rather noisy group later during dinner (after that thunderstorm) the previous night and again at breakfast this morning. All of us are waiting for the hotel staff to prep the jeeps which will take us to the river bank for the boat ride on the East Rapti river. Although the prospects of wildlife sightings appeared rather bleak, thanks to the massive downpour the previous night, the atmosphere at the time was magical- the smells of the bush, the chill of the morning, dew on the leaves and a light fog. Some things have to be savoured to be fully appreciated. (Sauraha, Chitwan, Nepal, Oct/ Nov. 2019)
