Bohemian Switzerland - Bohemian Switzerland is the czech part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in northern Bohemia. The landscape of Bohemian Switzerland has for centuries fascinated geologists, sport climbers and the romantic souls of artists. Most of the nature reserve is blanketed by forest.

Not the very best shots, but just to document the spotting, it's a very common bird, will shoot more of it in the monsoon. Thought I spotted the Bronze Winged Jacana actually!

A small path meant for walking inside the Okhla Bird Sanctuary in Noida, in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. In the distance some cows can be seen. A number of people come there to take images of birds and of nature. The path is flanked by greenery on both sides, with tall grass growing in a marsh like condition and a small earthern path in the middle on which a person can walk. The river Yamuna is very close by, lapping on the edges of the sanctuary. A person can also be seen in the distance.
Children at the Community Baboon Sanctuary viewed a presentation highlighting Belize’s protected Areas and the risks of oil exploration and drilling. Children then took action by signing a petition to ban oil exploration and drilling off shore and in Belize’s protected areas.
An adult Thayer's Gull flying with Glaucous Gulls at Pauline Cove, Herschel Island, Yukon on 10 August 2015.
The ID can be a bit tricky as Glaucous x Herring gull hybrids are regular at Herschel. However, this gull's dark eye, bring pink legs, small bill, darker grey mantle, and wing pattern distinguishes it.

I joined an eco-tourism daytrip from Guyana's capital Georgetown to the Arrowpoint Nature Resort. We drove out of town to marina on the Demerarr river, where we boarded a speedboat and crossed the river, then, taking about 45 minutes, navigated the Kamuni River into the Santa Aratack Amerindian Reserve, stopping at Santa Mission Amerindian community and the reaching Arrowpoint, where we had the options of walking in the rainforest, kayaking, swimming among activities.
I am in Sauraha, Nepal, which is the base for exploring the Chitwan National Park. Almost every hotel or tour company which offer the Chitwan package also include the Tharu Cultural show. The Tharu were the original peoples in the original village of Sauraha, before it grew into a rather touristy town catering to the hordes of visitors who come to visit Chitwan National Park. Detailed notes about the Tharu peoples and the Tharu cultural show appeared earlier in this album (see previous pictures). The show is almost over, and now the public are invited to join in on the last act. This seems to be the overall trend in Nepal- to invite the public to participate at the fag end of the show- I experienced this later in Pokhara as well. This wraps up my Chitwan trip. See you now in Pokhara. (Sauraha, Chitwan, Nepal, Oct/ Nov. 2019)
Speeding away to the next destination- I am on the Phi Phi Islands speedboat tour from Phuket, Thailand. We visit six spots during the course of the tour which takes a major part of the day. We don't get off at all the six spots though- a couple of them are mere photo stops, where the boat merely slows down to a crawl to allow you to take pictures. Of course this is not too easy as the boat has pretty high walls and ventilator like narrow lookout windows, and with the bench type coming in the way, and the rocking of the boat, taking pictures isn't easy. The best viewing point is from the relatively open rear of the boat, as you can see here, but you are not encouraged to go there when the boat is in motion. At any rate there is a seat fitted across, which also serves as a step when getting off and on the boat, and there a couple of people always sitting there, so getting past them is difficult. Detailed notes about the Phi Phi Islands National Park appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). (Phuket, Thailand, Oct/ Nov. 2019)
He was pretty calm and didn't run away when we got really close with the boat. It was truely an amazing experience.
