Pinocchio is a fictional character and the protagonist of the children's novel, "The Adventures of Pinocchio" (1883) by Italian writer Carlo Collodi of Florence, Tuscany.

Pinocchio was carved by a woodcarver named Geppetto in a Tuscan village.

He is created as a wooden puppet, but he dreams of becoming a real boy.

He is known for his long nose, which grows when he lies.

Pinocchio is a cultural icon and one of the most reimagined characters in children's literature.

His story has been adapted into many other media, notably the 1940 Disney film "Pinocchio".

Collodi often used the Italian Tuscan dialect in his book.

The name Pinocchio is possibly derived from the rare Tuscan form pinocchio ('pine nut') or constructed from pino ('pine tree, pine wood') and occhio ('eye').

The day I made my last flight as an airline captain, from Rome through Madrid, my dear last crew gave me this figurine of Pinocchio as a farewell present.

A Toa of Psionics OC of Atlasavion from her comic "Through eyes of Fire" that is all about hopping to alt dimensions, which is I am a sucker for.

Whakara dons a Kanohi Olmak, the Mask of Dimensional Gate, and has a crossbow as his tool.

Although Atlas made Whakara to be male, I prefer to think of him/them as gender ambiguous, mostly because I didn't know it's a "he" until latest strips. >>

I picked the "Circe Invidiosa" by John William Waterhouse.

I'm going to be honest and let go of the raw fact that I've been avoiding to think about this theme since it has been drawn out at the beginning of this project. I am completely opposites to the kind of paintings that appeal to my heart the most, but I had inevitably to pick a painting with a human presence in it, or it would be too abstract and it would be too hard to possibly physically represent it.

I've been wanting to do a recreation of Ophelia since I started to take self-portraits. As I was almost deciding to go into a small lagoon for it, I had to adult and accept that has been way too cold lately and without assistance it was going to be almost impossible to be left happy with the result so I picked yet another option - which inevitably also included stepping into cold waters while raining a lot. It seems I never learn.

And in fact I selected two paintings and recreated both but this is the one I decided to pick for this week's theme. The other one will be shared during the next few days, possibly, or sometime soon.

I find J.W. Waterhouse a painter so modern for its age. I love the way he portrays women. They are not always fragile as most painters from the 19th century would portray them - they are portrayed importantly and godly, as if in the center of the story, the protagonists of it. They are fierce and emotional and quite magnificent by emanating those atributes instead of just the most obvious ones such a beauty or wealth.

I love it how accurately timeless the characters seem to be in his paintings. They could have been painted yesterday. They are so feminine and bold and strong. His paintings are mystical, but yet they are so current as well. And I find that to be quite refreshing for a Pre-Raphaelite painter. To be honest I do not know much about paintings, but his work always spoke to me somehow and I decided to go with his depiction of Circe. A strong, bold, powerful character.

If I could pick something to suddenly, out of the blue, be able to excel at, it would probably be painting. It's magical. 🌿

Often the protagonist of my images is a reflection of how I view myself wandering through this new life. Whether it be in a reflection, riding the tram, man or woman, child or elderly doesn't matter as it is the idea off this person that I see and often consider myself along those same lines. Today, on this tram, looking out the window, this silhouette caught my eye as the light continued to change and made it more and then less visible, blinking almost, but catching my eye never the less. Deep in thought, waiting for the right stop, the days duties clearly occupying the center stage...or maybe she is just going to visit a friend...like I am.

Sure Blake is my favorite character out of the four main protagonist BUT Qrow is the BEST character in general. He's pretty much everyone's favorite drunk uncle.

Now this is my last RWBY figure in a while. I really want to get some Red vs Blue figures out of the way until Andrew gets back to me and I have some Halo and some superhero customs to take care of.

Other characters I would like to make are JNPR of course, Sun, and some villains maybe. Everyone has awesome weapons that I would love to make in custom lego minifigures.

Now onto this figure...

I used a werewolf hairpiece for the base and pretty much sculpted all around it

Head is all painted.

His coat us made with E-tape and painted.

Cape is from capemadness and I pretty much glued it onto the figure since the e-tape collar wraps around the top.

His necklace is all sculpted with procreate

Black sections of the sleeves and his bracelet thing are made with E-tape

His rings on his right hand are sculpted

I got the flask from Victor's booth at brickfair. I believe this belongs to brickforge though???

Legs are simple. I just painted the shoes matte black.

Now... onto his weapon... F*** making this piece of S***

You won't believe how pissed I was when making this... BUT I do like the end result... if only it worked a bit...

Pretty much the blade is made with another old insurance card and I had to make a separate piece for the scythe since there is no way that I could make it transform. I painted the blade with testors enamel silver paint. If you don't know what enamel paint is, it sis a type of oil based paint that takes f***ing forever to dry and it's still not fully dry. It feels a bit sticky

The base of the weaon is made with flat stud piece with a lego rod in between so the blade and handle can be moved around and positioned into the shotgun or scythe mode. I also cut and glued antennae piece and a black disk piece.

The scythe handle is made with a dark red rod piece with some antennae and flex tube piece. It is removable thanks to the lego lightsaber piece that I cut off.

All I need is the custom made base which shouldn't be too hard after dealing with his weapon

Let me know what you think and which RWBY characters would you like me to work on in the future?

She is Bella, the protagonist of the film "Beauty and the Beast."

One of my favorite Disney movies and one of my favorite musical theater, in addition to the first.

.

I allowed some licenses, its original and iconic design, including more baroque details, like beads, embroidery or sequins, but mix it with clean lines, lighter fabrics, and a softer yellow, which highlights the many textures that both my passion.

.

Bella is a captivating character, concerned about the intelligence and culture, demonstrating his love over beauty, but especially as it defends its rarity, with positivity and education, in a society that does not understand.

.

For these reasons and more it is very special, and that hands on this, it will be much more. I hope you like it.

The protagonists of this Vientiane wedding picture series. You'll find the other pictures in my Laos album.

Their wedding was a so-called "little wedding", which isn't just a simple engagement, but a very official and formal affair with the presence of the district leader and with contracts that have to be signed and stamped. The couple is allowed now to live together and to have children, and this is accepted by society as a matter of course, but they aren't really married according to international civil status law. Many couples content to a "little wedding", the bride's parents also do so. As long as they don't seperate, there won't be any problems. But if they do so, the text of the signed contracts will be important.

And as sexual relations after a "little wedding" are still sexual relations before marriage, in case of a separation Article 8 of the Lao Family Law will be important, too. It reads as follows:

"If sexual relations occur before marriage and the man does not marry the woman, he shall have to make offerings to restore the spirit of the woman or of her family according to custom and tradition."

The Singapore translators of the Lao legal texts explain the phrase "spirit of the woman" in the following way:

"The phrase “restore the spirit” has both a secular sense of “repair the reputation” as well as a metaphysical sense of “undo any spiritual damage”. "

www.mfa.gov.sg/content/dam/mfa/images/om/vientiane/Lao%20...

It's very important not to annoy any spirit, and so before the wedding like before any important event a shaman seance had taken place, where friends and relatives had contacted relevant spirits with the shaman's help. For this purpose they had held long white laces in their hands during the seance, and at its end they had wound them around the bride's and the bridegroom's wrists pronouncing helpful wishes. You see lots of them on the bride's wrists, they're hidden under the bridegroom's cuffs.

The Protagonist from Tenet. Ideally I would’ve used Finch Dallow’s face, but it’s ridiculously expensive, so I decided to edit Captain America’s beard onto one of the reddish brown heads I had laying around and I think it turned out pretty good!

Presently known as the Dagny Taggert in honor of the protagonist in Ayn Rand's 1957 dystopian novel entwined in intrigue, romance, and philosophy, "Atlas Shrugged," in which Dagny make a mercurial rise to the occasion and saves the Taggart Transcon through a deus ex machina invention from her brother's incompetence, over regulation, undertones of communism and anarchy.
