On Saturday, April 11, 2015, GH MRFD Jason Clarke and Rob Zivanovich presented Rob Hancock, Mike Root, Russ Turner of Southern Cruisers RC with a plaque to say Thank You for the continued and generous support of the Ride For Dad.
In this picture, some of the Southern Cruisers RC members were on hand as well for the photo op. They were gracious enough to let us interrupt their evening of Bowling at Splitsville Bowling.
Southern Cruisers RC are a Bronze Level Sponsor! For the past 8 yrs, they have chosen the Ride For Dad to be their charity of choice. They wanted to let us know that they are happy to be part of our team and sponsor us each year, by raising funds internally amongst their own.
The Golden Horseshoe Motorcycle Ride For Dad really appreciates and looks forward to the continued friendship and partnership with the Southern Cruisers RC! We cannot thank you enough!
You can find the Southern Cruisers Riding Club online here:

A special THANKS to everyone who came out, volunteered and supported us! Without YOU, we would not have been able to raise over $40,000 to support Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness. Thank you for such a successful event. We appreciate it!
I'm donating my face to charity and comedy! There is a huge stigma against women with facial hair. I will be poking fun at this social disgrace while raising money for Prostate Cancer Canada. Please support my Movember efforts with a donation!

The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for prostate cancer. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.
The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia. The plan was simple – to bring the moustache back as a bit of a joke and do something for men’s health. No money was raised in 2003, but the guys behind the Mo realized the potential a moustache had in generating conversations about men’s health. Inspired by the women around them and all they had done for breast cancer, the Mo Bros set themselves on a course to create a global men’s health movement.
In 2004 the campaign evolved and focused on raising awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer. 432 Mo Bros joined the movement that year, raising $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia - representing the single largest donation they had ever received.
The Movember moustache has continued to grow year after year, expanding to Canada, the US, UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, the Netherlands and Finland.
In 2009, global participation of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas climbed to 255,755, with over one million donors raising $47 Million for Movember’s global beneficiary partners. We are proud to announce that last year’s Canadian campaign was the second largest in the world behind Australia, with 35,156 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas coming together to raise $7.8 million for Prostate Cancer Canada

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.
On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words, they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.

After being weaned off of these steroids, my GP decided that they should be re-introduced. These stop the blinding headaches I get each evening about 21:00 above my right eye. I take my four first thing in the morning with my mountain of other drugs.
