A special THANKS to everyone who came out, volunteered and supported us! Without YOU, we would not have been able to raise over $40,000 to support Prostate Cancer Research and Awareness. Thank you for such a successful event. We appreciate it!

This was taken yesterday, the 14th December 2011. Today, the 15th I'm not feeling quite so perky ... the feeling of being zapped usually kicks in after 2 or 3 days, but not this time.
Admitted into Roxburghe House 6th February, 2018. Diabolical pain in left hip / thigh / pelvis area. As many people say "I've not felt pain like that before". None of my current medication is nowhere near to calming it down. I was tried on a tablet that was placed underneath my tongue. Can't remember its name nor how effective it was. Then I was tried with Ketamine liquid. That seemed to do the trick.

On Tue Mar 17, 2015 (St. Patrick's Day), GH MRFD Sonny Rattan (right) presented HMECU President & CEO Charlie Collura (left) with a Plaque to say Thank You for the continued support of the Ride For Dad.
HMECU has agreed to support the 2015 GH MRFD again this year, as with previous years, by controlling all aspects of the Dundurn Castle stop. This stop is where our Riders will arrive first, after the Ceremonial Ride from Valley Park Community Centre. This is where they will get their first Poker Card, then pick up some much needed snacks (water, granola bars, etc) before they head out for the day.
The Golden Horseshoe Motorcycle Ride For Dad really appreciates and looks forward to the continued friendship and partnership with HMECU! Thank you Charlie!

From one of my recent blog entries. This felted nest was made by a local artist and represents a wish of health, wealth and happiness for the new year. I pass along that wish to all of my flickr friends for 2009. Not too sure of the wealth one for any of us this year but I guess two out of three wouldn't be bad! :-) This was given to my husband and I for Christmas by a wonderful friend as a symbol of hope for us. My husband Buz was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October. We are very optimistic about the outcome of his surgery that is coming up on February 11. (98% cure rate though the recovery is no piece of cake)
If you want to read my blog about photography and life in general go here. Light Chaser
If you want to read Buz's rather unconventional blog ( he is a creative poet and novelist with a quirky sense of humor) go here! Buzspeak

These were taken on the morning of 27th January 2018.
The forth & fifth tablets from the top of this photo are: MST Continus 10mg. They have superceded the Tramadol that I was being subscribed. The MST Continus will grow in strength as time goes on. It will be helped by a liquid morphine solution very soon.
