I did a shoot in Austin, Texas yesterday. After the band left, my friends decided to have some fun with all the left over props and clothing. I love them! THey didn't care one bit and we all had SOOO much fun!

We were in a wedding district. Photo studios littered the place and were full of all kinds of kitschy props like this one.
Mary Howe, Director of the Homeless Youth Alliance & San Francisco Needle Exchange teaches a "Women's Only" seminar on proper needle usage at the Mission Neighborhood Resource Center in San Francisco's Mission District.
My Current Black Ops Props. The weapons are all cardboard, some of the perk bottles are plastic, the drinks are not real just paint mixed in water (except for deadshot, Coke, and Stamin-Up, Sunkist), and DO NOT ASK ME TO MAKE OR GIVE YOU ONE.
One of the benefits to working in a theater is having actor friends willing to be silly in front of the camera and a plethora of props at our disposal.

Our Daily Challenge - August 3, 2013 - "Pastime"
(That would be Eating Cookies.)
As posing for Mom, with said equipment, causes the Cookies to appear, they are pretty fond of that, too.
The Cookies in question are sitting in the white ramekin in front of Henry (left).
The blue rag is what keeps my hobby from becoming a lifetime endeavor (i.e. - it's the drool rag)
The light shown is the OTHER light - the one that wasn't in use taking this picture. The OTHER umbrella is to the left.
The flash, not shown because I have only one, sits behind the not-shown umbrella attached to the not-shown light.
The boys have many, many hats - this is just a sampling.
The black stretchy fabric in the back has had a far bit of lightening done to it post-processing so that you can see the lustrous folds, otherwise it would be a big black hole (something it does exceedingly well.)
The white cardboard in the back, usually obscured by the fabric backdrop of the day, is what stands behind 99.9% of all pictures I take.
Behind all of that is my kitchen, hence the need to set up and take down my "studio" on a daily basis.
