While fishing on Lake of the Ozark a Chinook Helicopter appeared from around the point flying low and slow. the prop wash made it almost appear he was trying to wash the Chinook. But in reality he was part of a training exercise being conducted by our great men and woman of the U.S. Army.

Two deteriorating buildings out in the middle of nowhere brings up a lot of questions. The one building still holds some hay along with a tractor that is ancient and the other small structure is propped up for reasons only known to the propper. When I went around the the front I found the inside to be the interior an small, old house with fiber walls. There was no sign of insulation and I gave a nod of appreciation to the folks who pioneered our state and lived through our rugged winters. It could not have been easy.

Prop Job small experimental aircraft with a lot of propeller up front and a charming color, found in North Carolina.
I believe in the Blerch.
This may be an obscure reference to many out there... Matthew Inman is the creater of The Oatmeal. I find many of his comics quite amusing. A few years ago, he wrote an article about why he became a marathon runner. Most of what he wrote about reminded me of me as to why I hike what I do and why I continue to push myself.
Anyway... This image was taken at Moraine Lake with the blerch. Now that I am hot and heavy into prop photography... I would not at all be surtprised if you see more "Blerch Aweareness" kind of photos haha.
Also... this is the link to Matthew comic about long distance running. theoatmeal.com/comics/running

There are different reasons for having napkins at your table in a restaurant: signaling the start of a meal, keeping clothing clean, wiping your mouth and fingers, and signaling the end. This squirrel found a paper napkin in the garbage bin beside the park restaurant. I would like to say that he used the napkin to wipe his mouth and fingers clean. However, I watched him eat the whole napkin! I am not sure if actually swallowed it all or he is bringing it somewhere to regurgitate and use it to make a nest.
A second and hopefully improved version of an original Modern Fine Art Oil Painting on Canvas of Bottles and Glasses. Drink to me only with thine eyes and I will pledge with mine.
from my "Summer's End" series. As the water level drops from the Great Sacandaga Lake, actually a reservoir, many hidden treasures appear from the shallow depths of this beautiful man made lake. Treasures such as this $300 prop embed themselves as testimony to just how treacherous this lake can be. Take notice that the prop is still attached to the shaft, further enhancing this boaters summer's experience. In the 518 area, with Pentax gear.
