The zinc anode for this propeller has worn off, leaving just the mount on the end of the propeller. This was taken in murky saltwater...low visibility prevents me from backing up enough for a full propeller shot. The only light being provided is what's left from the sun.

Taken in Florida. Fishing trawler; propeller is about 2.5ft/76cm in diameter.

From Welin Davit & Boat steel hull life boat circa 1940s-1950s

WY232 is a traditional built ‘Double Ender’ fishing boat. Moored at Skinningrove she would be used for inshore fishing, crabs, lobster, Whiting and the like. The Double Ender as the name implies is pointed at both stern and bow and easily recognisable against the other North East coast fishing boat the ‘Cobble’ which has a flat stern.

This is actually part of a propeller blade, which most probably collided with something.

One of my parent's old friends gave me a few old slides from the 1950's and I had them made into prints and put onto a CD. This is my fave! They called these guys "the propeller boys" because of their bowties!! My Dad as a young man is on the right and they are posed in front of his first car - I believe it is a '47 Packard (correct me if I'm wrong). I framed the pictures using my M/S Picture It program. Just a fun entry on my Flickr photostream and something just a little off the norm for me!!
