Calling all Airship Pirates! Everyone can use a spare propeller. Distressed copper tag with brass and copper gears and antiqued brass propeller.
A propeller screw placed in front of the supporting planes of an aeroplane instead of behind them, so that it exerts a pull instead of a push.

These smaller Azorean windmills used a solid carved airscrew rather rather than a canvas covered sail.
The screw is carved to an air foil cross-section; this is the flat underside of the foil. Note the balance weight on the nearest blade tip.
