I've decided to start at the beginning of the Creative Prompts, which is appropriately themed "Beginnings". This orchid that I recently bought to help brighten up my office has some buds just getting ready to open up and begin their life as a flower. I like the symbolism of that. I also feel like I'm at the beginning of a new stage of my creativity, opening up to new ideas and ways of being creative, with my quilting, with online and real life communities (flickr, BAMQG, blogging), starting up with drawing again and in my approach to life in general. Thanks AQ for helping to inspire me creatively!

Something that I like most is just the lighting hitting my hand so you can see the colors. It really makes the photo have life with color.

Why I took this photo: I took this photo to try and recreate the content video. It was difficult to get a good angle to take this image from. It was also hard to find a background that would reflect well in the eye.
