From January 13, 2023: I’ve been reflecting on some the #jobs I’ve had as part of the @rachelastorauthor #prompts I’m doing from her @dailyom course, WRITING TO UNCOVER THE AUTHENTIC SELF.
When I was in grade 10 or so, my Mum told me about the South Surrey Community Police Station which was going to be opening in the Peninsula Village Shopping Centre. Policing was something I thought could be a career, so volunteering made sense. I remember going in with my Mum to learn that unfortunately, I couldn’t volunteer in the office until I turned 18. But they let me apply anyway, saying they could let me do work at events they took a part of across South Surrey, at parks, schools, & in local malls. One key thing I helped with at this time was with the bicycle identification program, where we helped engrave bikes with someone’s driver’s license number to help identify it if it was ever lost or stolen.
Later, when i turned 18, I was able to volunteer in the station. There was a lot I helped with: from assisting members of the public when they came in with concerns, to actually running the bicycle identification and safety programs (yes we actually tried to get people to wear helmets). I helped a lot with preparing the station for a move from Peninsula Village to Windsor Square, from cleaning to unpacking and much more. I was a key holder. I remember one night staying late to organize a new wall of blank forms cops used daily. I remember cleaning all the windows, organizing the supply room, and more. I remember putting advertising ideas I was learning in university to work, creating new brochures and even a very basic information website on Tripod. I ended up organizing several police week events, where over a dozen crime prevention organizations setup displays in the @semiahmooshopping centre. I dressed up as Safety Bear. I organized a cops for cancer event. Had a wrecked car brought into the mall by ICBC to showcase driver safety.
I was nominated as volunteer of the year at one point too, putting in thousands of hours. And there was a lot more that I did - this summary just scratches the surface.

This weeks prompt is 'Vintage'. My mom left me some amazing vintage bling. The moonstone necklace is my absolute favorite. I even wear it occasionally. But the box in which I keep all the glitter holds much more beautiful things I love.
Prompts are clearly formulated instructions or questions that are used to generate specific reactions or answers from an AI program and prompting is thus a key factor in the effective use of artificial intelligence.
The game show format "Prompt Battle" demonstrates the prompting skills of contestants. The audience decides who can elicit the most surprising, disturbing or beautiful images from the AI system. The "Prompt Battle Training Station" is a spin-off of the original game. Visitors can use it to put their prompting skills to the test.
