So, I'm not entirely happy with the way this turned out, but I do think it's an accurate reflection of my childhood and now: I loved newspapers and to decorate things and couldn't wait to have my own home to decorate, and now I work as an editor in home design.
Last month, I became a mom. The first time I held my baby I was full of emotions but one thing I was sure of, I loved this teacup human so much and she was worth everything.
Black and White Wednesday. The pen does not have ink and the paper is empty and it is a perfect analogy to how I am feeling at this moment.

Does it count if the walk is trying to keep up with your daughter on her first little big bike? Not sure it is as inspirational as a quite stroll alone with my thoughts, but this is life!
These sweet violets pop up almost without noticing. One day it is only a fluffy bunch of green leaves and the next day it is full of flowers, beautiful pink and lilac. What I love about them is that they sow themselves. This year our porch has turned into a purple blanket.

The last few weeks I seem to be too late with a lot of things, notice things too late. It isn't that I am not interested. Just the opposite. Wanting to do a lot of things at the same time means that it is hard to focus.
I thought it would be a good thing to think about what 'too late' means and how to portray that.
This is what I came up with. Oops! I was too late to catch this glass from falling. Luckily it didn't break.
cast iron pot. My grandparents sold these at the small grocery store they owned. It's at least 30 years old, probably more. I love having things that hold my family history.
Industrial scenes are very suitable for Black & White. These cranes are famous in Rotterdam. (Taken with my iPhone and Hipstamatic).

This is my sketch of "Bubbles". I thought of kids with their plastic jars of bubbles, blowing for hours in the sunny summertime.
Photographing unnoticed is hard. I feel a bit awkward when doing it, afraid that someone will notice (suddenly the shutter makes a lot of noise), and also it is not easy to get an interesting shot.
Tonight I was at a wine bar enjoying a glass of good wine and the sunny weather. There were a lot of people outside having fun together. I tried to photograph from underneath the tabletop. This is what came out. (Together with shots of only the table leg in focus :-D).
