#63 of 365 Daily Drawings

Inspiration: Lillian Gish from the 1924 film, Romola

Result: Renaissance Kitty

Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Micron 005 & 02 pens, in a Moleskine plain journal

Location: At home

Note: Snowy day and the kitten decided to just settle his 8 lbs onto my lap and sleep (and keep his toes warm) so I was actually able to quietly sit and draw this without a fight. What this will be like when he's a full grown Siberian (topping out around 18 lbs.) is going to be anybody's guess...

One card from my neighbour, who found our poor cat, Abigail, on Tuesday, 13th January, after some nasty speeding car driver hit her, and one card from our vet.

This photography was taken at Ponsonby road, Auckland, New Zealand. I saw this man waiting for the bus, he was looking back in forth as if a looking for someone to come around the corner. When I was near passing him the light light up his silhouette and his head suck that I had to press the shutter.

For me the project is a little bit slow

Dad finally had back surgery today to repair a very painful herniated disc. Praying this will relieve his pain!

This is the first picture in my 365 project.

I will be mainly using a Nikon D300s and Olympus XZ-1 to take my one-per-day photograph and will in all likelihood process in Snapseed.

Pretty plain, I know. But I was out of town all day so I didn't have time to shoot a fancier photo. This is from two months ago, shot with the help of Milica.

Nothing here to make me want it myself, but I have to admit, for commercial tie-ins, these are pretty nice toys. They seem like they'd encourage kids to be creative, which is always nice...

Project X Album Art by HotFussDesign.

полу-выходной день. небо красивое - голубое и с облаками.

иногда полезно смотреть просто вверх.

כמעט יום חופש. שמים יפים - כחולים עם עננים.

לפעמים זה ממש כיף סתם להסתכל למעלה.

Almost a day off. Beautiful sky - blue with clouds.

Sometimes it's really fun to just look up.

I've made some art projects with my kids school classes, and always enjoy the excitement of working together with kids on unique creative projects.

I worked with a 2nd Grade class at St. Joseph School in Seattle to create this project.

Everyone brought in a few extra little toys they had lying around, and we constructed a retro inspired three dimensional rocket covered in colorful toys. Many toys also had moving parts and made noises, so the Toy Rocket became a huge toy made of recycled smaller toys. The classes always have fun when I come in to lead them through the process of a creative project.

Project: models without makeup

Taken at The Eden Project

Found this tiny little treasure that was just so delicate.

Took me so long to get it on camera without shake and in focus that it caused others around me to notice. I looked round to find about twenty people trying to capture this beauty too. Embarassed, I made an exit and returned later, when they had all gone....:)
