I showed off my drawings in the Plaza in Santa Fe, after dark with the pocket projector. First on the Palace of the Governors (the "oldest continually occupied building in the United States"). However, the building and street lights impoverished the large projections. I then experimented in other locations and on other surfaces. People did pay attention, however they would have been more impressed had I also brought my own screen.

A projector zoom lens with surprisingly good optical properties, on par with those of a ‘real’ lens from the same period. Pleasing sharpness, soft bokeh, few aberrations except for purple fringing. Pleasant to handle, very light (a real plastic bomber) and easy-to-use sliding zoom, no aperture.

Here is a screen shot of Transformers:The Movie from 1986. The image is being projected onto a DA-Lite White Pearlescent Screen. This is what 480P looks like on the screen with some ambient light coming from outside.
