Death and taxes, am I right? Anyway, Steve and I finally got our taxes done on Wednesday night. Usually we like to get them done in February but our tax guy went on vacation for a whole month during tax season. I figured he must have had some kind of a personal issue to attend to. Otherwise, why would he vacay during the busiest season of his year? He's a super nice guy though and he does a very good job. Steve and I are getting a very good return, too. I am so excited about that!
When it's in the 50's it's great to take a moonlight stroll. That's MY kind of winter weather! This tree was lit up by the almost full moon and a big street light.
A dose of NARCON to a person who has overdosed can save that person's life. The training only takes a half an hour. If you see it offered in your area, I encourage you to go to a training and learn how to use it. You could save a person's life! Don't tell yourself that you will never encounter a person who has overdosed. Do you work, do you go shopping? To restaurants? To tourist attractions? hiking? You could encounter a person who has overdosed almost anywhere.THANK YOU Save the Michaels of the World.
Feb 2 - The Winchester Fire Department participated in ice rescue training exercises on the Upper Mystic Lake today. In this image, the fireman on the ice sled is approaching the fireman out on the ice. The ropes are tied to the ice sled and each of the fireman and then tethered to others on shore.
Before and after a visit to mom's barbershop! These photos were taken about 30 minutes apart. He allowed me only one before and one after shot, so they are not the greatest photos, but I still think it's fun.
Violet, lounging by the pool as she recovers from her heart worm treatment. She needs to stay quiet for 8 weeks!, and loose 10 pounds. This will not be easy.
96/366 - My husband teaches high school special education. He is in charge of the Life Skills kids - the severely disabled. They got some painted lady caterpillars a few weeks ago. Of course, they cocoon during our Spring Break, so those kids won't get to see them. Camden thinks it is super cool, though. So do I. We accidentally bumped one while transferring them to the netted cage and it wiggled all around. Kinda freaky -kinda neat. I can't wait until they hatch.
