j. and matze were dead-set on eating leberle and brägele (liver with fried poatoes) today.
drove around in matzes awesome volvo for an hour, looking for a place that still had some, late saturday night, until we got to a restaurant i'd always dismissed as way too touristy, right down the road from my flat, where we were the last guests of the night before they closed shop.
i reckon liver is even worse than regular meat. i had some yummy, artery-clogging spätzle instead and tried to ignore the yucky smell from their plates. the guys loved their dinners, though. "totally worth the hassle."
Empty. This felt like an appropriate metaphor for my life as I was driving home today. My tank is empty! My cell phone battery was dying, too. I just feel drained in so many ways. The cold, rainy weather certainly isn't helping any either. This weekend is supposed to be pretty darn nice. I hope I can stick it out just a few more days!
it was in the 50's today and it smelled like Spring. Everything was wet and dripping from last night's rain. Such a lovely, unseasonable day.
We visited the donkey sanctuary today but this was the best I could do. These guys really love thistles. ;o))
Bullshit. I defy you to find a Curve that is for sale *anywhere* for that much. I'm looking at you, The Consumerist.
I see lots of water and rest in my future.
Today I found out why I have been feeling so sick. I have Mono!
The good news: I get to sleep alot and possibly lose some weight!
The bad news: I will feel exhausted and miserable for the next few weeks to a month!
Xena is Tracy's dog and Tracy is a friend from college. She came in this weekend to visit her family and whatnot. I met up with Erin and her new boyfriend Chuck over at Tracy's house for a few hours this afternoon. Xena was lounging in the sun in the living room and I captured her adorable little mug. Yes, she is a pitbull and she is one of the most loving, adorable, sweet dogs I have ever met. I told Tracy yesterday that Xena is my favorite dog that isn't mine. Tracy and her husband Brian have not been able to take Xena to live with them in Arizona yet because they have lived in an apartment and they were not allowed to have pitbulls. The controversy surrounding these dogs is pretty awful, that's for sure.
Yeah, nothing to see here. I was messing around with Mrs Odd Bod's camera fully intending to take a 'proper' photo later but never got around to it so this will have to be it for Friday 13th.

03.02.2008. What we eat on "Pancake Day", though I ate it a bit beforehand. Yum. Filled with strawberry jam and whipped cream. Can be filled with some almond stuff instead of the jam.
The first sign that the end is nigh? End of our grad programs, that is! Steve graduates officially this weekend. My ceremony is sometime in June. I'm not exactly sure when because I'm not going to the ceremony. Some people think that's awful, but it's actually a present to myself. I HATE SITTING STILL! I am really bad at it, in fact. So, I'm not doing it. What's important is that I get the degree, am I right? Anyway, my parents are having a joint graduation party for us on June 8th. We are leaving for Europe (if things go okay for us heath wise...cross those fingers) that same night! Anyway. Here are the invitations. I picked them out myself. I didn't put our last names on there. DUH! Leave it to me, I guess.
