A transport strike in London added a bit of interest to the commute. I took a crowded bus for part of the journey into the office. The Bakerloo line was opened later in the day and I was the first person to enter the carriage.

The River Bulbourne is a small chalk stream that flows for about 7 miles alongside, and sometimes as part of, the Grand Union Canal.
In the middle of Berkhamstead, it sneaks under a canal bridge in it's own little arch before joining the canal just downstream. Here, it's about 4 inches deep, over several feet of silt,
I bought some cherry tomato plants, but didn't realize the tomatoes were going to be black. They're so bizarre looking.

I was going to put these on the fridge and play with them, but they kept rolling away from each other. One rolled completely off the fridge, bounced, headed for the space under the stove, then bounced up again and stuck to the stove. It was quite entertaining.
