Life of Praise-Casting Crowns
I will love You, Lord always
Not just for the things You've done for me
And I will praise You all my days
Not just for the change You've made in me
But I'll praise You for You are holy, Lord
And I'll lift my hands, but You are worthy of so much more
For You are awesome, God of the Nations,
Lion of Judah, Rock of the Ages, Alpha, Omega
You're worthy of all praise
More than these hands I'll raise
I'll live a life of praise
I'll live a life of praise
I will serve You, Lord always, for You are my strength
When I am weak
I will never be afraid for You are my rock and You protect me
But I'll praise You for You are holy, Lord
And I'll lift my hands, but You are worthy of so much more
I love days like these, they just excite me so much about our amazing Father. I'm not sure what exactly I've learnt from today, other than the ever increasing feeling of love and awe for Jesus!
I woke up at 7am and hosted Prayer Meeting at mine, everyone enjoyed tea and toast and it was such a blessing to be able to meet together and pray. Everyone bar Matt P left and so I helped him to get facebook so he could keep up with all the mega Christian stuff that is going on: like Globe and Lunchbars. At 12 I went to a presentation meeting with my group for Thea102 and we explored the upper floors of County Main to film in. At 1pm I went to Globe meeting and we planned for the next one, Pancake Day (yummy). I then found my other filming peeps from Thea and we filmed footage for editing. We enjoyed Zach acting as a crazy lunatic Hamlet stuck in an asylum which is based above County Bar! Good times :) At 4:30 I went to Flicks house and took apricot jam covered toast with me, we chatted and prayed. So criminal that she lives so near and we've not met up before now! I swfitly grabbed a bite to eat and ran to the bus stop to meet other for F Plan, we found Andy and Jo's house pretty soon and squashed into their living room, along with 22 other people from Christians Alive. Today's session was on water baptism, something I've already done, but still really interesting to listen and discuss it. Ended the day as I begun it, with some darn good thankful prayer to my Father in Heaven! As I said, I love days like these. Things have just flowed, and timing has been perfect. I've fitted everything that I needed to in, and more, spent time with God, non-Christians, friends, and even had a minute of time to take this picture.
I can't decribe my feeling tonight, other than immense excitement and thankfulness to God for just being so amazing and awesome!
The picture doesn't even come close to how I am feeling! :D
I took Meghan & Ashley to get pedicures today :) quote of the day: "this elevator relocated my bladder!"
Photo of a print on my wall that I bought at the National Gallery. Zapped in the "Ripped from Reality" and "Halftone" apps for IOS.
The fabric is holographic 3-d type stuff, and it reminds me of my favorite kind of storybooks from when I was a small child. I haven't seen books like that anywhere since I was little, and I often wonder where they all went.
"I have measured out my life with coffee spoons." ~T. S. Eliot
It's 6:21am here in Sydney right now and I am on a coffee buzz!!! I was just about to head to bed when I got a message from my Mum, I think she was getting ready for work :
txt: "Are you doing another all-nighter? Don't overdose on coffee."
I study best from midnight til the early break of dawn - it's quieter that way, and I can concentrate better. I seem to be at peace with the fact that I like the adrenalin rush brought by the urgency of meeting a deadline - otherwise, what other types of excitement am I suppose to have? :o)
This is the earliest post I've ever done in 365... When the rest of the world says hello to a new day I say goodnight to sunrise... That's just me.
Have a beautiful day/night dear flickr friends :o)
Day 149: At the end of my walk today i took some pictures of this steel cable fence along the sidewalk. I am not sure why i haven't taken its picture before.
Today's Project365 Pic was taken at the Ballarat Gold Museum.
I went there this morning to continue my research into the two mines that were in my backyard during the gold rush.
While I didn't find much info (Will go to Public Records Office next week) I did snap a photo of the second largest gold nugget ever found, "The Welcome Nugget".
Actually it's a copy of the nugget. Theres another one near the Thai restaurant at the bottom of Sturt Street, and a monument where it was found outside the Ballarat Leagues Club.
From Wikipedia:
The Welcome Nugget was the name given to a large gold nugget, weighing 2,217 troy ounces 16 pennyweight. (62.37 kg), that was discovered by a group of twenty-two Cornish miners at the Red Hill Mining Company site at Bakery Hill (near the present intersection of Mair and Humffray Street) in Ballarat, Victoria, on June 9, 1858. It was located in the roof of a tunnel 55 metres (180 feet) underground. Roughly shaped like a horse's head, it measured around 49 cm (18 in) long by 15 cm (6 in) wide and 15 cm (6 in) high, and had a roughly indented surface. It was assayed by William Birkmyre of the Port Philip Gold Company and given its name by finder Richard Jeffrey. Eclipsed by the discovery of the larger Welcome Stranger eleven years later in 1869, it remains the second largest gold nugget ever found.
The finders had been among the first to introduce steam-driven machinery into the field at Ballarat and had looked first at nearby Creswick with no luck. Their luck changed at Bakery Hill, however, and several smaller nuggets weighing from 12 to 45 troy ounces had been uncovered before they found the Welcome.
Sold for 10,500 pounds sterling, it found a home in Melbourne until being sold again on March 18, 1859. It weighed only 2,195 troy ounces (68.28 kg) and fetched 9,325 pounds sterling at its resale. From there it was conveyed to Sydney and exhibited there before being transported and exhibited in the Crystal Palace in London. The Royal Mint bought it in November 1859 and minted gold sovereigns out of it.
Models of the Welcome Nugget were made and distributed to the Geological and Mining Museum in the Rocks in Sydney, and the Museum of Victoria, as well as the Powerhouse Museum, who purchased their model in 1885. Models are also a feature of two displays in Ballarat, the Pioneer Miners (Gold) Monument on the corner of Sturt and Albert Streets in Ballarat Central (1951) and at The Gold Museum opposite Sovereign Hill at Golden Point.
