today i went to vicroads to register my car.
unsuccessful. i needed to book in an inspection with them because my car's from interstate and transferring the rego had to be done differently or some crap.
a 40 freakin' dollar inspection!
what a rip off.
anyway, after that, i had uni.
finished at around 2ish and then after that sumeyye and julia picked me up and took me to northies.
i need to get a health care card. and little to my knowledge, there's no centrelink in northies.
so i had to bus it all the way back to greensy. AN HOUR BUS RIDE MY GOD!
after wasting so much time i couldn't even find the centrelink and it was all rainy so i was not happy.
by this time it was 5 something.
i had to cancel plans with a friend i was supposed to meet with in coburg. freakin' public transport.
but yeah, this photo was taken when i was home and dry and happy.
taken on thursday the 12th of may 2011, with my phone.

Day 9 - 26 December 2011
She knows what she wants. To spin freely, madly and nonchalantly. But the rain is coming and the cold eats her bones. And inside her heart she longs for the warmth.

The introduction of New Coke in 1985. The biggest mistake in modern US history. My parents, who hated Pepsi, willingly became Pepsi drinkers due to this. My mother's rational was if she was going to drink a Pepsi, it was going to be a real Pepsi. Thankfully, Coke brought back the original formula. Beth, born after the New Coke fiasco, still wants to try a New Coke. She's been told to drink a Pepsi.
This picture didn't turn out at all like planned. It also has too many bubbles and not enough glitter, but I'll make do.
Average Joe letting me hound him with my camera. His expressions are priceless, especially when he raises his eyebrow.

Inspiration: Flowers in a school parking lot in Dewitt MI
Result: flower sketch
Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Sakura Micron 500 in a Moleskine Plain notebook
Location: parking lot of a middle school in Dewitt MI
Note: There was a surprise 3rd basketball game this day, before we could leave for the long drive home to Canada. I was not going to get a drawing done if I didn't sketch something right then and there...so I crouched at the edge of a parking lot, floppy sketchbook balanced on a knee and tried to sketch the flowers bobbing in the wind before I baked in the sun...I was not prepared for 30C weather...
Digital final project. had to program a chip ... dont remember what exactly if you want details ask me later... to make a working washing machine logical circuit
Remind any of the "Citi" folk of anything?
Anyway, plenty of attachments that are labelled up to 2 inches, but are much larger in diameter. Not sure if it is miss-labelled or they are over-sized by design.
The smallest fitting - 1/2" - fitted my near full inch (22mm) pipe well.
this shot is a panning shot in which i panned my subject at the same speed the skateboarder was going and took the shot as soon as he got on the rail in which leaving a blurry back ground and kind of a cool image sorry again for the lack of light due to it being indoors
This is Joop. He is almost 80 years old and lives in a senior flat in Voorhout, a small town in the Netherlands.
Almost every day, Joop goes outside to take a sniff of fresh air. Until quite recently, he could be seen on his bike, cycling long distances in a slow but steady speed. But his health forced him to stop and that's why he switched to walking.
Today he was walking in the early morning sunlight and for the first time I didn't pass him by, but stopped to chat.
We took a stroll together and he told me all about his past career as a high school teacher. He used to teach Latin and Greek, after having studied these Ancient Languages in Nijmegen. Of the two, Greek was and remains till today his favorite language. He retired over a decade ago and admits that he hasn't been reading much of his study books since.
Because Joop doesn't own a computer and doesn't care much for the way that society has changed (read: become more technical), I doubt that he's ever going to read this. However, I wouldn't want to let the opportunity pass by to thank him for allowing me to take his picture. So Joop: thank you!

I emailed my friends and family and asked them in 2 words or less what they thought of me.
Then...a couple glasses of wine, a BIG step outside of my comfort zone, some paint, and an hour and......
And here's the finished doll!
May I present to you: Ninny, my first Blythe custom doll.
I had much fun customizing her and I guess she won't be the only Blythe here for a long time.
Hope you'll like her, too : )!

Inspiration: Lillian Gish from the 1924 film, Romola
Result: Renaissance Kitty
Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Micron 005 & 02 pens, in a Moleskine plain journal
Location: At home
Note: Snowy day and the kitten decided to just settle his 8 lbs onto my lap and sleep (and keep his toes warm) so I was actually able to quietly sit and draw this without a fight. What this will be like when he's a full grown Siberian (topping out around 18 lbs.) is going to be anybody's guess...
