The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art features an art gallery, the couple's summer home Ca d'Zan Mansion and a Circus Museum.
The Farmworker Immersion Project placed students in the community to learn about farmworker rights and immigration issues. The students were guided through a first-hand experience of farm work life. They visited a local berry farm and learned about the agricultural business, then worked in the field and harvested berries.

Riu, spazio indipendente dedicato alla fotografia, è lieto di inaugurare la seconda stagione di Phonography 2.0. La rassegna intende indagare le possibilità espressive dell'immagine in relazione al suono, in un percorso che dalla fotografia porta alle pratiche di “fotografia sonora” – meglio conosciuta come field-recording- al fine di creare nuovi innesti tra i linguaggi.
Nella serata del 19 Gennaio avremo come ospiti l'artista visiva Rachele Maistrello e la ricercatrice sonora Sara Maino.
Rachele Maistrello si forma tra lo IUAV di Venezia, L’ENSBA di Parigi e lo ZHDK di Zurigo.Il suo lavoro verte sulla costruzioni di dispositivi relazionali rivolti ad uno studio del periferico e del quotidiano, tramite progetti di interazione diretta con le persone. Nel suo lavoro la rivisitazione di mitologie private e la ricerca di dimensioni simboliche coincide sempre con un’esplorazione sul limite visivo. La sua è una riflessione sull’identità e sulla sua messa in scena, che si serve della performance e dell’immagine fotografica. Negli ultimi anni espone in collettive e personali in Italia e all’estero, in spazi pubblici e privati, vincendo diversi premi, menzioni speciali e partecipando a progetti di arte pubblica.

Sara Maino è un’artista multimediale con esperienze internazionali che si occupa di teatro, di video e installazione, e di ricerche etnografiche. Il suo percorso artistico nasce con la poesia e si fortifica nella relazione con la musica.
È co-curatrice del progetto Portobeseno. Si focalizza sulla didattica e, nei laboratori creativi multimediali per bambini, giovani e adulti indaga il rapporto tra suono e memoria collettiva, per stimolare ri-creazioni di Comunità utilizzando l’arte dell’ascolto, il field recording e lo storytelling.

Our fridge has a couple new friends. I've been working on planning an art lesson for a kid's summer camp I will be a part of June 26th-27th at Camp Chickigamee in Presque Isle, MI. These are some sample of what we'll be creating. Matt made the hermit crab, I made the fish.

We produced these projections for Everton in June 2010 that were beamed onto buildings across Liverpool.
The lobby of my office building as I left work this evening. It looks more like autumn than spring but that's because of the Wellington spring winds.
