Talked into working the dreaded night shift, everything had played out pretty much the way I'd expected it to. If it could go wrong. It went wrong. An hour after closing, the place was emptied out, but I was still stuck there dealing with a broken down car in my third bay.
Anybody wanna guess who's car it was? Cough, cough, Calamity.

Meet Larry.
Larry was the first person I met today in my quest to photographed strangers.
I was actually taking photos of the heart shaped objects along Michigan Avenue in Chicago when he came up to me. He didn't ask for money nor food. He just wanted to know what I was doing. I told him.
We talked a little bit more. He told me he is originally from Alabama...he is 51yrs old...he came to Illinois 4yrs ago...had some odd jobs but couldn't hold on to any of them.
I think I know why - he was slurring his words quite a bit.
I ask if I could take a photo of him for my project. He said yes without hesitation and suggested standing next to the heart. Despite the bitter cold and the funny stares from the passersby, he maintained his pose.
Larry is a very proud person.
At the end, he wanted to shake my hand. I gave him a hug.
And yes...I also gave him money for his effort.
Next time, you'll get to meet Chris and Hank - no ordinary couple
A small project consisting of setting up a shoot with random passersby and getting them to pull a face.
All participants where informed of the project and asked if they wanted to be a part. To see the rest of the project you can visit cambrils.tumblr.com/

Lynx - now doesn't he look harmless.
After spending about 5 hours waiting for this guy to be successful hunting, I had to leave as the light was fading and the ducks were skittish and had vacated and I was very cold. I am sure he got something to eat once darkness fell.
Having home wifi problems so I can't upload big files from my MacBook for awhile now... That's why I just upload my 365 daily on Instagram instead.. [http://www.flickr.com/photos/59654824@N02/]

My stranger no. 5
Introduce DANIELA, she is an stranger to me, but not first time that I have contact with her.
She works in a small bussines where sometimes I go to get stuffs, specially bread, and actually I say hi.
Lets say that I am her client. I asked her fot the photo explaining her my project www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/ and she told me NOT, abssolutly not, as always happened to me with women (and I guess with most of people), she told me that she was ugly , I told her that she was not ugly at all. I always explain people that the project doesnt has nothing to see with beautiful radiant young people only, not even models, not even beauty, that wrinkles, white hair, and human imperfection are wellcoming.
After taht, I convinced her and she accepted, and when she saw the distance between us told me that a close up will be really awrful, I told her, I neer your face only, this is the project idea. So she smiled and this is the CLICK!!!!
She was not easy, and I consider the she has a great natural fotogenia.
Whe she asked me to let her see the PIC, she said with a big smile, Oh you have a nice camera I am not that bad!!!...
I answered her, no, you are not bad at all....this is your really image, and you have a great cute smile

The body I bought for the tele deluxe project arrived today. It was the cheapest shaped body blank I could find on ebay and I'm quite pleased with it. The wood is basswood which isn't the greatest tonewood on Earth and it looks as though it's made of 5 pieces glued together. There's also a rather unpleasant smell around one of the ends... I can't complain too much though. It looks like all that's needed is a final sanding with fine paper and then painting.
Since this is a tele deluxe project there are a few things that need modifying before I can go ahead and finish the body. First is that the routing for the controls and pickups needs to be altered to accommodate a pair of humbuckers and the four pots that go in place of the usual tele set up. I'm going to fill some of the pre routed cavities and re rout some of the others. Secondly, the strat style neck has a curved end whereas the tele necks that this body was designed have flat ends - I've already marked this out. Finally, tele deluxe guitars have a body contour like strats that I've also marked out ready to be attacked with a chisel.

This is the project I'm finishing for the "Sketchbook Project 2011". I've choosen the theme "This is not a sketchbook" and I made a story.
A very very very simple story...
Poole.
Further down Thames Street we reach the Mansion House Hotel, one of several buildings within th old town which illustrate Poole's 'Golden Age'. The house was built in th late 1770's for Isaac and Benjamin Lester, heads of an important merchant family that raded with Newfoundland. The dining room fireplace is decorated with marble fillets of cod as a proud reminder of the source of the family's fortunes. Today the Mansion House is a dining club and Hotel.
I'm approaching the end of this round of additions to the collection of wave photos. No matter the reception, I really enjoyed taking them, and I'll definitely be taking some more when the scenes permit.
That being said, I'd really like to know your thoughts on the photographs so far, so please comment below any of the images so far and I'll get back to you.
This photo stood out for me as being particularly intimodating, which is a quality I definitely look for when picking compositions.
