Hiking the Laugavegur Trail:

Landmannalaugar-Thórmörk--Skógar

Project 365 -

Eye Spy

Back to school for my kids. Had trouble narrowing down my favorites, but since I get so few of my son, that's what I went with. This is not standard attire for his school - the first day back for high schoolers was a retreat at a local park.

And I have to add: It was a surreal but proud experience to see him get in the car and drive himself to school. He's becoming more and more independent.

Life changing. In 8 weeks I will be retiring-- April 27, to be exact. On April 30, I board a plane for England and Scotland where I will be fulfilling a lifelong dream of visiting a land I have loved through books and now through the fellowship of many of you in this forum. Can hardly wait to meet my fellow photographers, walk the coastline of Cornwall and finally see "the moors".

This is our aportation to the Project Wendy for Tom Hiddleston!

Boy, you're fans love u so much!! ♥

Feng-shui literally translates to wind - water, very appropriate for a bathroom.

It's an ancient Chinese science based upon the philosophy of the movement of chi (natural energy) through our environment.

Much is written about the power of water and how to use it effectively.

It's been said that toilets should always be closed because water has drawing power.

You don't want to draw the energy in your home down the toilet.

The open toilet will also draw your wealth down into the toilet.

I just forgot, sorry !

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England. Inside the two biomes are plants that are collected from many diverse climates and environments. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 km (1.2 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 km (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall.

The complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining omes that house thousands of plant species, and each enclosure emulates a natural biome. The biomes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The largest of the two biomes simulates a Rainforest environment and the second, a Mediterranean environment. The attraction also has an outside botanical garden which is home to many plants and wildlife native to Cornwall and the UK in general; it also has many plants that provide an important and interesting backstory, for example, those with a prehistoric heritage.

dirt pies are almost as fun as mud pies.

Forget photography, on a hot day put your trust in a 99

In her multi-disciplinary artistic practice, including installations, performances and sculptures, photographs and videos, Rebecca Belmore addresses the embodiment of meaning and sense in the interplay of physical presence and symbolic representation in contemporary societies. In her augmented materiality she evokes narrative dimensions which resonate as an outstanding time- and politics critical potential.

Eindhoven is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, it was granted its town charter in 1232. Almost a hundred years older and part of the early settlements of the city is the castle “Ten Hage”, what later was transformed into a convent.

Approaching the Mariënhage complex from the Tramstraat, Rebecca Belmore’s site- and time-specific intervention inhabits the garden next to the Paterskerk. By framing architectural remains with white pebbles and highlighting with bright white light and its reflections, she stages the environment in self-reference to its changes through history.

Strobist Info: Nikon SB-26 bare camera left @ 1/32 power, Nikon SB-26 bare camera right @ 1/64 power.

In this project I made this business card back and front. I made this one in particular because I made it for myself and I like the color scheme I used.

A small project consisting of setting up a shoot with random passersby and getting them to pull a face.

All participants where informed of the project and asked if they wanted to be a part. To see the rest of the project you can visit cambrils.tumblr.com/

Lighting is provided by a softbox umbrella camera right and a bare strobe for hair light.

A little project I'm trying to do this summer :) Don't know if I'm gonna manage to do all of the days due to limited Internet access.

And yeah.. I forgot my flash. Otherwise I would've managed to balance out the shadows on the troll.

the butterfly project:

1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.

2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.

3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.

4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you've killed it. If you dont cut, it lives.

5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.

6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.

7. Even if you don't cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts or is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help. =]
