Keighley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society's production of "Aladdin" played at Victoria Leisure Centre in Keighley from Friday 24th January to Saturday 1st February 1975. The pantomime was written and devised by Keith Marsden and Geoffrey Rundle, with original music and lyrics by K. and E. Brook. The producer was Peter Blakeney, the musical director was Peter J. Wild and the choreographer was Elsie Scott.
The cast was led by Louise Hindle (as Aladdin), Geoffrey Rundle (Widow Twankey), Keith Marsden (Wishee Washee), Barbara Boothroyd (Princess So-Shi) and Tony Cross (Abanazar). Other members of the cast included Paul Kennedy, Robert Lister, Mike Boothroyd, Arlene Woollard, Joan Lund and Brian Middleton.
The 8-page programme is part of the Joy Rundle Collection, donated by Jane Eaman and Mark Rundle in 2023.

New system to measure air quality
• India is tying up with the United States and Finland to develop a pollution-forecast system.
• It will help anticipate particulate matter (PM) levels at least two days in advance and at a greater resolution than what is possible now.
• At present, the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, serves as the apex forecaster of pollution trends in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad.
• It generates a likely air quality profile, a day in advance, for these cities.
• IITM is an organisation under the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
The Orientation Programme 2nd semester 2024-2025 with the Portuguese Culture and History classes, took place at Iscte, on the 31st of January 2025.

Today at the ASEAN Secretariat, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with Attachment Officers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam, who were undertaking a one-year attachment program under the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Attachment Programme. Supported by the Government of Japan, through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), the Attachment Programme would help participants obtain first-hand experience on regional cooperation frameworks, especially under the three ASEAN pillars, namely ASEAN Political-Security Community, ASEAN Economic Community, and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community pillars.

Page from the theatre programme for a production of the musical 'Carousel' at the Ritz Cinema, Keighley, staged by Keighley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society in October 1965. This page includes a short synopsis and portraits of B. Allan Clough (stage manager), Margaret B. Windle (accompanist) and Peter J. Wild (chorus master).
The story takes place around a fairground in New England, USA, towards the end of the nineteenth century. Mill girl Julie Jordan (played by Louise Hindle) falls for carousel worker Billy Bigelow (Ernest Clough). But the carousel owner, Mrs. Mullin (Janet Chadwick) has designs on Billy herself. Billy and Julie marry, but the marriage is hardly a success. Billy has lost his job, Julie falls pregnant, then in an attempt to rob a mill in order to provide for his unborn child, Billy is killed. He returns in spirit form, guided by his Heavenly Friend (Jack Hepworth), to steer Julie and his now grown-up daughter Louise (Joan Lund) into a prosperous future that he couldn't provide while he was alive.
