The UKEEP programme, which was developed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and was supported by the EU, has helped Ukrainian enterprises reduce dependency on gas and cutting down on CO2 emissions by implementing energy efficiency measures. The programme is part of the EU4Energy Initiative.

The current UNDP programme cycle expires at the end of 2015, and a new UNDP Country Programme covering the period from 2016 to 2020 has been drafted. The new Country Programme is based on the United Nations – Azerbaijan Partnership Framework (UNAPF) and aligned with the priorities of the Azerbaijan: Vision 2020 national development strategy.
As part of the national consultative process, UNDP plans to present the draft Country Programme for discussion with the government partners, to validate the expected results and outputs and agree on the implementation arrangements. A national workshop was organized on 12 March 2015. Based on the comments and feedback from the Government, UNDP will finalize the Country Programme and submit it for review and approval by the UNDP Executive Board.
