The Connecting Cambridgeshire programme is rolling out fibre broadband to 98% of the county which will make it one of the best-connected areas in the UK by the end of 2015. It is using Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) funds following the signing of a £45m contract led by Cambridgeshire County Council and BT in March 2013. The programme builds on BT’s commercial fibre investment which has already deployed fibre broadband to nearly 200,000 Cambridgeshire homes and businesses.
