These are the remaining pages (very poorly photographed - it was quite dark) of the 1896 -97 Lectures Programme, which was found in Holme Mill, Thornton Road, Bradford as it underwent conversion in early 2011.
Please excuse the dreadful quality of image - it was dark and I had a new lens. Sorry.
The Bradford Mechanics' Institute Library was established in 1832 and for over 70 years played a leading role in adult education in Bradford, providing books, classes and, later, a long series of very popular public lectures. During the redevelopment of Bradford city centre in 1974, the magnificent Bridge Street building was demolished and the Library moved to its present modern premises where there is a pleasant reading room for the use of members and for meetings.

The crowds obviously made it tricky anyway, but with the morning's signal cable fire having completely closed Waterloo, travel home was a bit chaotic.
