The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.
With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy (WSPA) and Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) have a unique partnership that has been in existence since 2004-2005. As a result, WSPA and WSSU created a project to expose WSPA students to a challenging experience by offering a Summer Enrichment Program on the campus of Winston-Salem State University.
All rising 9th graders to WSPA were invited to attend a one-week Enrichment Program July 9-13 from 9:00 to 12:00 on the campus of Winston-Salem State University. The purpose of the program was designed to expose students to high school Mathematics and Science through an enriching and hands-on experience delving deeply into each subject matter. This year’s theme: “Planting the Seeds to Success” was taken from the lessons taught through the novel Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman. This novel provided the springboard from which each teacher created lessons concerning Math and Science and related those to real life situations as well as enforcing the theme of diversity and sense of community as depicted throughout the novel. These lessons afforded students the opportunity to become strong critical thinkers. As a result of students spending time on campus with veteran teachers in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System, the 14 participants will have a jumpstart on the requisite skills needed for a successful transition to high school.
