My first film camera I picked up a little over a year ago. It’s crazy how one camera can turn a hobby into an obsession. Without this I wouldn’t have many of the film camera’s I have today.
UI Health Care STEM Education partnered with UI Orientation Services in hosting an interactive STEM experience for siblings of future freshman at University of Iowa. Students had the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the newest MRI Research Facility and learn about how it works and what it is used for.
University of Iowa Health Care is committed partners with formal and informal educators and community organizations across the state to advance STEM literacy to inspire the next generation of health care professionals and build a foundation for children to understanding their own health. In FY2015, more than 16,000 school age children were engaged in hands on learning provided by 260 faculty, staff and students.

The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.
With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

I discovered that, prior to tossing the physical CD in the trash, I saved a disk image of the Apple Dylan Technology Release, the only time Apple Dylan saw the light of day.
Unfortunately, it doesn't actually run in Basilisk II. Dunno about Sheepsaver yet, but this one might actually require hardware.

During a Native American history-themed sleepover at the National Archives in Washington, DC, 101 kids and their grown-ups spent the night enjoying history-related activities, learning from special guests actor Martin Sensmeier, Jim Thorpe historians Bob Wheeler and Flo Ridlon, and Native American storyteller Perry Ground. After sleeping over night in the Rotunda, participants enjoyed a pancake breakfast made by the Archivist of the United States, David S. Ferriero, on October 14, 2018.
Air National Guard Lt. Col. Franklin "Brad" Meyers teaches a group of patients about nutrition and basic health care during Cajun Care 2014 in Abbeville, La. Feb 26. Meyers is a family physician and a flight surgeon from the 115th Medical Group at Truax Field in Madison, Wis. About 120 Air National Guard and Navy medical and dental personnel are providing care to civilians as part of the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training Program, which is in its 20th year. Wreath Decorating Program hosted at the Hyattsville Branch and sponsored by the Friends of the Hyattsville Library.
The 2015 Youth and Mentors Film Program was a filmmaking workshop that brought together youth and the people they look up to in their community. They collaborated to produce these powerful short films, and were featured in a short documentary. The program was made possible with the support of the Peel Regional Police, The Journey Neighbourhood Centre, and the Province of Ontario.

On Sunday, March 1st, current and new Junior Ambassadors came together to kick-off another great year of fundraising and leadership. Guests got a first look at the calendar of events and special presentations from the Open Hearts Foundation and Dreamnight presented by Munchkin at the LA Zoo.
Kids inspired each other by sharing their ideas to fundraise and compete in a CHLA Trivia Game. The event concluded with an Educational Fair that featured the various programs Junior Ambassadors can support at the hospital. Booths included Child Life, Literally Healing, Leadership Groups, Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, Action Day, Holidays from the Heart, and Dreamnight. Brighter Bites is a collaborative effort designed to improve access to healthy, affordable food and provide nutrition education. The University of Texas School of Public Health, KIPP Schools, the Houston Food Bank and Texas Children's Hospital have partnered to offer the 16-week program to third-grade children enrolled at KIPP Explore Academy and their parents. As you can see from the photos, those healthy kale smoothies are a hit!
