This picture was drawn by hand without a subject model save the owl from a picture of an owl found online. A pencil sketch was finished in ink and enlarged and duplicated at a printing company for coloring. It also served as a concert poster and advertisement of a company function.
The Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program hosted a Working in America event, "What’s in Store: The Future of Work in Retail,” at the Aspen Institute offices in Washington, DC, on November 17, 2017. Panelists at the event – including Walmart’s Ellie Bertani, National Employment Law Project’s Tsedeye Gebreselassie, Logan Hardware’s Gina Schaefer, Cornerstone Capital Group’s Sebastian Vanderzeil, and The Wall Street Journal’s Greg Ip – discussed how changes in the retail industry are shaping the way businesses sell, consumers shop, and employees work.

With one of my Macs in Japan (and non-functional, regrettably) and another one here with me but with no monitor, I wanted an easy way to see the time in various time zones. So, I wrote my own program. The time zones you see here are all hard-coded for now but as proof-of-concept, it works well.

Diseciséis jóvenes latinoamericanos, de 22 a 35 años, participan del 24 al 28 de abril en actividades como foros de debate, coloquios y talleres formativos. “Promotores de cambio” busca potenciar liderazgos políticos y sociales emergentes en Iberoamérica, favorecer el tejido de redes, fomentar el intercambio de experiencias y animar a la construcción de democracias plurales y justas en la región.
